Cabela's Scent-Lok® TimberFleece 360° Jacket

Designed specifically for the bowhunter, TimberFleece 360? is a soft, quiet, windproof, synthetic performance fabric that provides 360? of scent control. TimberFleece 360? series uses Scent-Lok's first ever single-layer fleece material that fuses the activated carbon deep within the synthetic fibers. The scent-adsorbing carbon is fused between two layers of fleece for ultimate comfort. You will instantly notice how light and soft this product feels and also be amazed at its ability to block wind and weather. TimberFleece products are light enough for early-season hunts but equally adept at blocking out the chills as temperatures drop. The Jacket is styled for excellent mobility. Two side-zippered pockets. Full front zipper and extra-high collar for ultimate scent protection. Imported. Sizes: M-2XL. Camo patterns: Mossy Oak? New Break-Up?, Realtree? AP HD?, Mossy Oak? "This season I decided to drop the change for a bunch of scent lok gear. This Jacket is very nice. It is very comfortable, very warm, not to bulky and fits very well. If I could change anything I would maybe add a hood but the collar is tall enough to cover my chin if zipped closed all the way.
The sizing is right on the money. The pockets are good. The stitching is good etc.

Hands down worth the money in my opinion."

"Both jacket and pants seem to be worth what i paid for already. They are warm and seem to really help with my scent. I have had deer down wind of me multiple times when wearing these and have not alarmed any deer that i can see. The only down fall isnt in the product design but just how the fleece seems to pick up every sticker and burr that i come within 10 yrds of, but that is gonna happen with a lot of clothing, especially fleece. I would recomend this to anyone interested. Its baggy enough to be able to layer under it even, but still not too baggy to get in the way with shooting."

"I recently purchased the timber fleece 360 jacket and used it on this seasons hunts, spending over 30 days a field in Alaska's interior and on the Alaska Peninsula. Temperatures ranged from just about 80 degrees to 18 degrees towards the end of the season. This jacket was warm, quiet and durable. However, I noticed that as the temperature dropped, so too did the jackets ability to keep the wind out. I never rely solely upon one piece of clothing to provide for my needs as the needs change from day to day, hour to hour. This jacket was a great mid-layer for the real cold mornings and great for an outer jacket by mid morning. As far as the scent-control is concerned, honestly can't comment as most of my clients did not have scent-control clothing.... and had to ALWAYS hunt with the wind in my favor. I consider it a tool that helps when you’re closing the distance and the wind is a little "squirrelly", not a substitute for hunting ability."

"I am very pleased with my purchase of this jacket. While drawing my bow it doesn't get in the way and is quiet. Excellent workmanship and quality. I'm just a little disappointed there is not a drawstring on the bottom of the coat. I Can't wait until October."

"this jacket was warm and comfortable. the weather was about low 40's and windy, 20-30mph. when the winds were strong, you could feel it coming through the jacket. it was loose so that the drawing a bow was easy. over all pleased."

"i bought this jacket at the end of season using a gift card from christmas(which should be celebrated before huntin season so you dont have to wait a year to use your presents) and tryed it on before storing it in my scent lok bag and it fit very well. Stepped outside and it seemed very wind resistent from what i could tell. Camo pattern does seem fuzzy but thats completely expected since it is a fleece. very quiet while moving around and does not get in the way of drawing my bow. only thing is the velcro on the handcuffs could possibly be a problem if they would have to be adjusted in the field because of noise, still worth buying. cant wait to use it in the field"

Very Useful Jacket, January 5, 2009

"Can't say enough good things about this jacket. This is the perfect fleece layer. I have used this jacket alone when its in the 50s or as a layer when it was in the 20s. I bought the Tryad Jacket last year and replacing that fleece liner with this jacket was just the ticket when it gets cold. It's a little warmer under the Tryad outer jacket than the original fleece liner, but thinner which leaves more room in the sleeves making it easier to move around in. It's also got the added benefit of scent-lok and the zipper is compatible if you want to zip it in as a fixed liner. It will work on other Cabela's jackets and parkas too. I hunt NC and the weather here is usually in the 40s and 50s, with wide swings from morning to evening. I would highly recommend this product. I've seen other reviewers suggesting that scent-lok cannot actually be recharged in a dryer. I'm no expert on that but I've never been winded with their products so I'm a believer. Even so, this would be a high quality product without the scent-lok benefit."

"This jacket was very comfortable for use in 40-50 degree weather. It fits very well and I like the pockets. It is well made. I used it for predator hunting in close quarters, and I have called in three foxes to within 30 feet since using it. I got wet when it rained though."

Doesnt Work, November 12, 2008

"Scent-Lok is a complete enigma to me.

Their products are so very well made but then they add snake-oil to them and claim is will eliminate your scent.
Activated Carbon doesnt work in this manner and certainly cannot be reactivated in a consumer line cloths dryer!

The outfit has been sitting in a store, warehouse...anywhere - therefore would be saturated will odors even before you get to wear it. Then you are unable to actually "reactivate" it. My dog is able to find me all the time (he is a hound/lab mix) when we play hide and seek when I wear these items. I love that they are made so well - the fit and finish is superb - but the scent control is not so good.

Buy it for the clothing - NOT THE SCENT CONTROL."

"it soft on the outside, but it isnt that comfortable on the inside.
i was sitting in 50 degrees, and was very cold.
scent lok works great though.

i sent mine back and im getting the mt050 gore tex whitetail extreme with scent lok. it waterproof and windproof. and the mt050 technology keeps you warm and dry."

"I bought as a layer. Turns out It is a great outer layer as well. It is made with true quality. You get what you pay for. I wish it had a chest pocket.(Little flaw) One other flawe I found was the lack of a draw cord around the bottom. I find the wind will creep up your back if you wear it as a outside garmet. My mother in law is pretty handy with some sewing though. Anyway I won a lot of the Scent Lok line and its by far the best. Hope this helps."
