A Hunting Necessity,January 7, 2008
By Fitjakesterfrom Southern California
"This stool is the best designed for all hunters, especailly bow hunters. It's features allow for easy carrying and set up, with adjustable legs permitting sturdy placement and sitting on uneven ground.
This stool can be used inside of ground blinds or on any terrain, allowing you to sit, with 360 degree viewing ability. Once seated, the swivel seat turns without effort and when sitting down with your weight, it won't make any sounds as you turn to look at any direction.
I recently used the stool on a 10 days bow hunting trip, where I sat inside of a pop up blind occasionally, as well as the majority of time spent secreted within the natural terrain and ground growth, with hand made ground blinds.
The stool allowed me to adjust the legs to varied heights to sit level on any type of ground, which after hours in the field made a great difference in my comfort. It's virtually silent.
Due to the ease of carrying, light weight and strong design, which held my 300 plus pounds and gear, I don't think there is a better designed or suited stool on the market today. There's no other chair or stool equal on the market today."

Very poor seat,November 15, 2009
By McFerranfrom Oklahoma
"I have used this seat for a year and it is bulky, loud, and very uncomfortable. I just got through hunting out of my ground blind for 3 days using this seat - when I packed up and left I took my blind and left this piece of junk in the field. The ball bearings fell out of it, it wouldn't turn at all and the comfort is so poor that I ended up sitting on my knees half the time.
I hunt over 150 days a year and I must say this is the most poorly built seat for the money I have ever purchased.
Don't waste your money"

"Set up is difficult in the dark and noisy. The seat pad is uncomfortable at best. The ball bearings are rough working and noisy. I could only sit for 1/2 hr. periods before my butt went numb. The adjustable legs are the only positive thing about the stool. It is far to expensive for the low quality. To bad cause it looked good in the catalog."

No cigar,September 26, 2009
By Prunepickerfrom Morristown, NJ
"The reason you buy a swivel seat is so that it will swivel. This one does, but only under duress and with noise. The description says that it swivels on ball bearings, but when you disassemble it (as I did), you discover that the ball bearings are stationary, so they scrape against the lower surface of the stool when you twist in the seat. I tried lubricating the ball bearings with graphite, but it made no difference. My search for the perfect blind stool continues..."

cheap,September 15, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Northern California
"I just purchased this stool to use in my duck blind this year. I open it up and tried it out. The stool almost broke under my 265 lbs yet it claims to hold 500 lbs. The construction is cheap plastic. Well not spin as shown. All in all I was very glad with Cablea's return policy. My two are on there way back. Don't waste your money on this product. Good idea just poor construction"

Half day goose hunting,September 6, 2009
By dpcampbellmdfrom Grand Junction, CO
"The stool looked good in the catalog so I bought three of them for a goose hunting trip in Canada. We used them for half a day and all the ball bearings fell out. I email the company to see how to get the ball bearings back in but have had no reponse."

Disappointed,March 2, 2009
By lrbpshooterfrom Florida
"This appeared to be just what I needed. When I received it, I was a little disappointed in the thin plastic construction which proved to be founded. The first time I used it, I leaned to my right to get something from my shooting box and the base broke, dumping the swivel seat ball bearings and almost me, as well, on the ground. Only suitable for very light people. The seat is optimistically rated at 500#. I weigh 225#. If you weigh more than 100#, look for something else."

It broke the first time used,February 10, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Rapid City SD
"The very first time I put it togather, my 120lb wife sat on it and the plastic broke where the legs lock into the seat. I'm sure glad my 300lbs didn't sit on it first! I'll see if they don't have something sturdier I can use."

Loud, heavy, and noisy,January 2, 2009
By str8shooterfrom MD
"I found this stool to be very noisy to set up. Noisy when you swivel on it while sitting. It is a pain to carry on foot. It now sits in from of my craft table and I use a small fold up stool in the woods that was much cheaper."

Very Bad product,December 11, 2008
By Harbour
"I bought the Bull Stool for a Kansas whitetail hunt. One leg broke off the base the first time I used it. I'm fat, but not 500 lbs. fat! It is also incredibly noisy. It is almost impossible to rotate on the swivel seat. Sitting naked on broken glass might be more uncomfortable, but not by much. I plan own sending it back in pieces to Cabela's. I wish I could rate it less than one star."

It was O.K.,November 14, 2008
By Fefferfrom Lancaster, Pa
"The independently adjustable legs are great. No matter where I am sitting I can be sure to have a level chair. I have to say that the seat cushion is pointless and the velcro that holds it on fell off after 3 uses. I had to make my own because after sitting for about 15 minutes my lower half was going numb. The seat is pretty quit but you have to be careful when you sit or stand because it makes noise. Also it is very noisy to put together and take apart for transport. I had to do it about 10 times to figure out how to make the least amount of noise possible but it was still pretty loud. One wrong move and "bang". I left mine in the woods for a week just to avoid spooking any game in the area. All the complaints aside, I still managed to see several deer within 7 yards of me and I didn't spook any of them."
