Good design, poor execution and materials,

"I used mine according to the instructions and took it with me every night. I did not leave it in the tree long term. After 3 or 4 uses, the screw bent. I straightened it and it bent again and I straightened it again. On about it's 10th use the screw broke off in a tree. The U-shaped gear holder that comes with it did not have threads at the tip so it wouldn't even screw into a tree. I've been using another brand of screw in hook to support the angled piece. I really like the design, I like where it places my bow and I like the hook below it, but it's poorly made and as far as I can tell they used pot metal for the large screw. Junk!"

"If you are looking for a durable bow hanger then i would recommend spending the extra money and getting one of the realtree EZ hangers. I snapped one of my HME hangers while screwing it into the tree. They also lack the small hooks that the Realtree EZ hanger has which are great for hanging other gear (antlers, range finder, etc). Spend the $$ and avoid this hanger."

"the tapping bolt works ok,but the other bolt will break!mine lasted 1 1/2 hunting seasons. i know 2 others that bought them and they broke after a few times."

"i have only used this product twice since i purchased it. even though the other reviews were not so good i got it anyway. some complaints were that the tip would break off in the tree. i didn't have that problem and used it in sub-freezing temps. the key is to use the hanger hook to make a pilot hole and then install the arm.also i don't think it is for long term use in tree. remove it after each hunt and you should have no problems. it is meant to be portable. four stars only because of a little extra time to set up."

"Hanger needs to be longer if it had one more section it would be perfect, But it was a good pattern for me to make my own. It would be helpful if the manufacturer put the size demensions next to the ad listing."

"I tried three of these in the 2006 season. They performed well during season however i have to replace all three. The lag bolt that screws into the tree is poorly welded into the holder and broke on all of them when i removed them at the end of season."
