Great Bow Set for Kids (And Adults!),April 13, 2008

"We gave the Mini Genesis Bow Package to our 7-year-old for his birthday. He loves it, and so do his brothers who are 5 and 9. In fact, I like it a lot, too, and I'm 35. It's been a few weeks since the birthday, and the bow is still something our kids use frequently, and I'm guessing this interest is going to continue indefinitely.
We currently have the bow set to the minimum draw weight which makes it fairly easy for all our kids including the 5-year-old.
The package includes everything you need to get started, but since the targets are just cardboard cut-outs from the box, you should definitely get a good target as well. We ended up getting the relatively inexpensive burlap-covered cardboard target that can easily stand on its own, and it works perfectly for us. You'll need more arrows, too, because five isn't enough. The quiver can hold at least 20 arrows.
This bow is a lot of fun, and it's a great way to spend quality time with your kids. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good, easy-to-use bow for kids."

"Bought this bow pkg for my 7 year old son. So far, its been perfect. I turned down the draw weight at first, but he's already got the hang of things and we may start increasing the weight soon. Super cool looking camo, and good quality bow. Looks like the real deal. Great first bow."
