"I am a long time GPS user and a map freak. I was very disapointed the the quality as relates to contour line visibility and overall quality. There were many instances where contours on various lakes were not marked with the depth. The contour line colors are almost not visible at all in daylight. I could see lines more clearly using the night view, even in daylight. Lines were a faint green and white against the light blue water color. These maps were a big disapointment from Lowrance used on their own sonar/gps unit."

"Before I purchased the Fishing hot spots pro, I researched as much as possible trying to find a memory/map card that would show lake contours, rivers, roads and cities with points of interest and everything else I might need. Nobody even reccomended this card to me, i just happened upon it. I'm glad I did. This card does it all and has more information than anyone could possibly need. Lakes, rivers, topo, county boundaries, parks, national forests, cities with roads, points of interest and all kinds of other info. You can choose the amount of background information shown on the screen to keep clutter to a minimum. It's awesome. I use it with my Lowrance in our power boat for salmon fishing in the ocean and on the lakes for bass. In my driftboat I use it for Salmon and Steelhead and I even take the Lowrance unit with the card in my truck for navigating when we go out of town. The card is used in a Lowrance LMS 522c gps/sonar unit. Be sure to use the card specified to your specific area and you can't go wrong. It's awesome, you won't be disappointed!"

"For the past 3 yrs I've used the standard navionics maps and they were OK, but didn't have some of the lakes I fish and didn't show enough detailed information on lakes like the southern region of KY lake in TN past the I-40 bridge.
I purchased the Lowrance Fishing Hot Spots Pro and it was like going from night to day -- the detail is remarkable. The maps show depth lines, structure and submerged cover that puts the other digital map I used to shame. Another great feature is the map displays varying shades of color for each depth range. This makes navigating unfamiliar lakes a breeze. I used to have the scan the sonar map constantly and read the depth contours to make sure I was running in the river or creek channels since the lakes I fish are full of rock, boulders and other water hazards. With the Hot Spots Pro I know the channels are always dark blue and can get to where I'm going faster and safer."
"I bought Hot Spots originally to give my X-25c more detail. I had no idea it would give me this much detail. It gives creek channels, main lake channels, submerged pilings and bridges. I have started fishing spots that few people know about as a result of this chip. I wish I had bought this product sooner."

"I purchased a Lowrance 5300 c iGPS from Cabels for my fishing boat, the loaded maps were not detailed enough. I purchased the Lowrance Fishing Hot Sports Pro South. I found the maps and poi's good for what I expected. Only draw back is I now need one more of the North to complete my fishing areas."

"I recently purchased the Lowrance Expedition c GPS. Living in North Carolina the standard background map on this unit was disappointing. The FHSP-E card made a world of difference. I was able to see small ponds on the map as well as detailed lake maps. This card did not slow down my GPS like the navionics card does. It is well worth the money."

"this unit did have some very good detail structures i found it to be very helpful. the only draw back is that it does not cover all the areas known, and did not cover into mexico. IF you want to use it in two gps ( dash and trolling motor) you have to purchace two chips."
