"I purchased this hitch extender for a non-automotive purpose. It is well made, and is extremely sturdy. I am a large guy and the step portion of the extender has not shown any sign of stress, bending, etc. A good piece of equipment. Highly recommended for it's original purpose."

"I have been using both the 18 inch and seven inch hitch extenders.
The longer one for my utility trailer and the shorter one for my traveltrailer.
It makes it so much easier to make tighter turns and I am able to lower the tailgate on my truck without interference from the trailer cranks."

"I received this in the mail. I put it on my vehicle w/o problems, but all my attachments would not fit inside the extender. I tried my receiver hitch and hitch hauler. How dissappointing that a new item is defective. Will not try another one by mail, it was to much of a problem calling, re-calling to return item and get a full refund."

"I didn't buy this for the hitch extender. I got it for the step. These truck beds keep getting higher and higher and I keep getting older and older. Most of the steps you can buy to be able to reach into the bed or climb into the bed are not really large enought for your foot or feet. The also usually do not attach to the truck very well unless they are permanently installed and then they get in the way. This extender with the step works great, is very sturdy and doesn't protrude any further than the average trailer hitch. Great for the money!"

Heavy, but worth it,

"The hitch extender arrived in good shape, but it is so heavy that it nearly destroyed the box it arrived in. ! I got it so I could use a metal basket (or rack) that attaches to the back of the Jeep. It folds up but the spare tire was in the way.
I wanted to be able to fold up the basket, instead of having to take it off and on all the time.
A friend has a welder, so we welded the extender to the basket for more stability, and it works great!"
