"I bought the Handy Throttle because my thumb would freeze in the cold weather. I found the product easy to install and it works as advertised. I am an old biker so the twist throttle is second nature to me. I am very pleased with this product."

"I've got arthritus in my thumbs so going on a long ATV trip hurt until I bought this throttle kit for my Kawasaki ATV. It works great, was easy to install (per my husband) and flips up easily if you get in a section of trail where you would like to use the throttle with your thumb, like in rocky or sandy sections."

Easy installation,

"I purchased this Handy throttle , even after reading some poor reviews stating the unit can be pulled off the handle bars.
But I feel I have a great match with my 98 kawasaki 400.
My handle bars have a metal knob that is bolted to the end of the handle bar kind of like a acerbi hand protector or bark buster. So to mount unit to my bar I had to move my throttle and brake lever over about 3/4 of an inch to allow me the clearance needed to mount the throttle kit , and after installation I had to cut the end of the rubber sleeve that covers the grip and rebolt on the original knob at the end of my grip. Problem solved! now the throttle kit cannot be pulled off, period! I would have like to see this made out of aluminum instead of plastic, but it looks to be made well, should last for years. Maybe the manufacture could come up with a bolt to install inside of the handlebar.Or upon installation the consumer could buy a swedge bolt at local hardware store for a buck and That would solve any issues with the unit pulling off!

"I am satisfied with the throttle but the design isn't a perfect match for my Grizzly 700. Nice to have the ease of operation w/o wiping out my thumb! I'll let you have an update after my moose season...it will get a workout then."

"WOW! What a great product. Installation was easy and took about 15 minutes to install after watching the video. I recommend this to anyone who rides an ATV. No more sore thumb on long trail rides and it flips up out of the way if you would need to use the lever for throttling. I'll never be with out this addon on any ATV I will ever own."

"I read alot of the reviews for this product and was a little concerned. I did not chose to move the factory position of the throttle therefor I needed to adjust the length of one of the parts. The throttle cover could be a little softer. Overall installed fine and works as expected."

"We purchased 2 Handy throttle kits online after only reading the negative ratings. When they arrived I installed both kits, one on our 400 Kodiak and the other on our 450 Kodiak, both only took about 3 to 5 minutes to install, it was harder to get the old grips off than to install the handy throttles, and both work as advertised. I think my wife will ride a lot more with me now that her thumb wont get sore anymore. Thank you Cabelas !
I cant wait to go on our next long ride."

"Great product.
Saw this in the catalog last year but only bought it and installed it a couple of weeks ago.
The product allows you to operate your atv like a bike
instead of using your thumb.
I needed to be able to operate the atv with one hand while
spraying and this product allows you to do it (at very low
speeds obviously) and it's a great alternative to other,
more costly products.
Follow the well written directions exactly and be prepared
to make minor adjustments on the throttle assemly."

"its easy to keep a consistent speed. very easy to install. gets tricky when you put an atv in the back of a truck. The 4 wheeler has a tendency to get away from you with the twist throttle. In these situations its best to use thumb throttle. Overall works as designed."

"The throttle was a pain to install. Once on, the thing doesn't rotate freely...you have to put some muscle behind it. No spring action so when you engage...it sticks. If I'd wanted a cruise control, this would be the thing. Not very good for the trails though."
