"The 1-1/4" hitch adapter does fit the receiver on my car but I have been unable to use it because it did not come with a pin/bolt. So... it's useless until I can find a bolt to secure the hitch adapter to my receiver. The product write-up should have stated that it did not come with a bolt."

"This adapter has solved a problem I've had ever since getting the hitch installed on my Element: nothing that I had would fit the puny little 1 1/4" hitch! While the vehicle itself is rated to tow no more than 1500 lbs. (no transmission cooler available), and the adapter is not designed for towing anyway, I can now mount by bicycle carrier, external luggage rack, etc., etc., and they're secure!
Good product, and I'd recommend to anyone in similar situations."

"Works good used it to adapt down to use a hitch haul on mjy atv only problem was there was a lip inside and the hitch haul had to be banged on to slide in to pin it which im sure will make taking it apart no excietent..."
