Hauled me out,
September 24, 2008
By JB78

"I drive an 8x8 Argo Avenger and being in the arctic there aren't many trees big enough to winch to. Even in the soft tundra the Earth Anchor gives enough of a bite to pull you out, and it is compact enough that it doesn't take much space in the back. I can hardly wait to see how it does in the snow."

"Doesn't really give you a point to anchor a winch. everytime I attempted to anchor a point for my winch I only succeeded in pulling the anchor from the ground."

"Much more sturdy than I was led to believe. I plan to use it with my ATV. Wish it came in a padded bag of sorts so I could tie it onto the frame without causing any scratches."

"The Earth Anchor looks bigger in the pic. I am not sure about the welds or the eye ring. I tryed pounding it down in my front yard and gave up and used my splitting mall. When i use it to pull out my full size SUV i will update my review"

ATV Mudding,
February 20, 2008
By RATTT
|
"Worked good on my ATV. I ride in south FL. ie mud. It was a little tricky finding semi solid ground to anchor into so I had my buddy stand on it for some extra traction. I imagine in solid ground it would work great. Also it`s small enough to store on my front rack."

Good Idea...,
January 27, 2008
By RNKCruz
|
"I thought this product was a good idea, but the craftsmanship is very poor. Its completely made out of thin steel and lacks some key welds to make the product have any kind of strength. Even the ends of the pipes on this product were left rough and sharp. I do not recommend this product to anyone, unless this product undergoes some changes."

Earth Anchor,
January 7, 2008
By Serious4wheeler
|
"Need more details on website to inform potential customers about the product. For instance, it would have been nice to know the maximum pull capacity that it could handle.
When I recieved mine i observed that the pull ring is only a 1/4" thick and poorly welded to thin tube. I estimate that this will support a pull of around 6,000 lbs. My vehice weighs 6,200 lbs. Calculating the forces required to pull 6,200 lbs on a 2% uphill grade exceed 10,000 lbs. If I would of had more information I would not have wasted $70 on the Earth Anchor."

Earth Anchor,
November 13, 2007
By SolDuc

"I think it will do the trick and is just the type of solution I was looking for. My only concern is whether or not it will go deep enough to hold in all situations. It appears to be sufficient for ATV appilications. I'm less certain how well it might hold with a Suburban on the other end."

what a man wont do for a shot,
October 15, 2007
By Supernat

"Not only did I buy one...I bought three! One stays at our camp in rural Manitoba, one in my hunting truck and one with my 6 wheeler. Louisiana gumbo mud no longer strikes fear in my heart! For reasons still not clear.. I seem to get stuck where there are no trees to pull against. Fancy wench not much good with nothing to attach to. For many years had carried an awkward boat anchor. This very efficient one piece earth anchor is a stroke of engineering genius. I would like to shake the hand of the person who invented it."

"i found this to be very usefull . this is the only thing that i found to use where theres no trees and if your stuck in a mud pitt or if you dont feel like using 100 of cable to get out.it is big to haul around if you dont have much room but well worth the space it takes up."

Earth anchor,

By rjrtools

"This item works well in our heavy soil easy to use slide hammer in and slide hammer out. It is kind of bulky to carry on your racks it is larger than a person would expect. It is an essential item to carry when I go wheeling in South Dakota as there are very few trees to hook a winch cable to to pull your self out or up a ravine."

"Pete's design is a true example of simple physics and assemblied .... components when it comes to getting a toe hold, when no trees or rocks are near by.
I have had it on the beach, the trails, the dunes, the mountains .... we have done it all.
Will never wear out. Easy in....Easier out!!!!!!!!"
