"I use this cover for the generator I use on my boat. It fits perfectly and is waterproof. The cover also features two velcro slots in the top so you can grab the handles of the generator while the cover is on. These slots also allow you to use a cable lock while the cover is on."

"I knew when I bought this cover that I would not be 100% satisfied with it since I'd already had the same type of cover on my older EF2400 Yamaha generator. I would like to see a little padding added to at least the front panel of the generator. It's a minor nit, so obviously it did not keep me from buying the cover for my 3000.
The fit is good, and the pocket for the manual, tools and battery charge cables is nice to have."

"Before I buy a cover for something, I ask myself "Is this really necessary"? Well, in this case, I think it is. This is a "custom fit" cover that will keep the weather off the generator when it's not in use at camp, and it will keep the exterior from getting "marred" during transport. I mean, you don't want your nice new generator getting all scratched up hauling it around "do you"? Of course not. If it gets "beat up" by a "bear", well that's one thing. Getting beat up in the trunk of your car is what you will avoid with this cover. It makes sense. Why not."

"The cover is nice as the previous review states and fits well. I travel with my generator from show to show and had wanted the cover to protect it while in transit. However, there is really no need for it. The generator is fine without it and you don't want to put it back on the while the back is hot from running for several hours. The little pocket in it is good for keeping the manual in, but other then that, this cover is certainly not a necessity."
