Truck box review,January 8, 2008
By mjecvfrom Salinas, CA
"I had to cut the storage box at the bottom and re-attach it to make the unit fit my truck. I have a Totota Tundra and these perticular noxes are about 4 inches too tall. Once I cut them down for my needs, they were fine. I am sure that there is a box out there that fits perfectly, but I could not find it. Unfortunately there are not a whole lot accessaries for my truck, and you have to take what you are given and go from there."

Too High for a cover,September 17, 2007
By wf218from Tucson, AZ
"The picture in the catalog is deceiving. I purchased it because from the picture in the catalog it looks like it fits below the top of the bed, so there would be no problem fitting under my bed cover. Well it doesn’t and I could not shut my bed cover (2006 GMC)."

Wheel Well Storage Box,April 16, 2007
By allthumbsfrom Ca.
"The box would not work with my F150 with a bedliner and shell. The lid hit the side of the shell's rail when you opened it, and if you reversed the lid, the metal tabs would hit the rail. Also the part thats over the wheel well could be deeper. All and all and bad design."

Questionable Design / Not Weatherproof,March 31, 2007
By MEA23from Idaho
"This product is sturdy in design, but not weathertight. The locking mechanisms on the lid of the box are located in large depressed holes with the keyhole in the bottom. These will gather water and it will run directly into the box. There is no weatherstripping between the lid and box. In a driving rain while driving 55 mph water is sure to be forced in. This is the first product from Cabelas I have been disappointed with in years. I have already installed it and will keep it, but I am going to have modify it to make it weatherproof."
