Highly Disappointed,September 29, 2009
By flyboy7172002from Pennsylvania
"I read the reviews and it seemed readily apparent that this tent design had a problem with ventilation/condensation. I decided to take a chance on it anyway and unfortunately the previous reviews had it right. MAJOR condensation on the inside of the tent by the time I woke up in the morning. That was with the rainfly on.
What a disappointment. Other than that problem I absolutely LOVE the tent. It's very well designed. I so wish it didn't have the condensation problem because I'd really like to keep it but unfortunately it's getting returned as I simply can't afford to wake up in the mornings with water droplets dripping onto my sleeping bag."

XPG Ridgeline does not adequate for wet weather,June 30, 2009
By TooWetfrom Idaho
"I used this tent in Alaska last week immediately after purchase. It does not have a full rain fly, and as a result, water pours into the tent when a door is opened. Also, the little end vents - which are inadequate - seep and drip water directly into the tent."

Very Nice Tent,April 21, 2009
By DBKansasfrom Lenexa, Kansas
"I am very pleased with this tent. My son and I went on a Boy Scout campout over the weekend. We each have this tent. The tents performed very well. It was pouring rain the whole time and we had a big thunderstorm over night. No leaks anywhere. The factory seams remained waterproof."

cabela`s ridgelight tent,June 11, 2008
By northforkcamperfrom Weippe Idaho
"I have used this tent for 3 weeks now in heavy rain and winds, water has come in through the top and bottom vents. That being said it is a good tent for I want if for we have had 40+ mph winds and heavy rain and other than some spray from the vents it has held up well. I was looking for a fast set-up, fairly waterproof tent and I do like this one. I am going for a 14 mile backpack trip this weekend on the North fork of the clearwater river and I feel this tent meets my needs unless it snows 2 feet."
"I was very disappointed in this tent. I'm an adventure motorcyclist and enjoy camping, I was looking for a light, quality tent that weighed approx. six pounds. After reading the discription and knowing quality of Cabela's products I decided to purchase the tent. Also, considering the price listed I knew it was a quality two man tent. We had a very bad rain storm the first night of a weekend motorcycle/camping trip. I am sad to say, I had as much water inside the tent as in the puddles around my tent.......... all my camping gear got wet, sleeping bags, cloths etc. The tent is well designed and built but, it should also have a light weight waterproof fly to shed off rain before coming in contact with the tent material. I'm sure if the tent came with a lightweight, waterproof rain fly it would be a winner!!!!!!!"

"I like the way it is small and compact, weighs little of nothing. But for a bigger guy, this is really a one man tent."

XPG Ridgelight XST Tent,September 14, 2007
By Rickcabela
"I lived in the XPS Ridgelight XST Tent for a week while bow hunting Elk in the rugged Mountians of the Gila Wilderness in New Mexico. The tent is light and has plenty of room for gear at the foot and head of the tent. Although, I have the three man tent, I would not recommend the tent for three people. The three man tent is comfortable for two average size individuals and gear. Trying to fit three individuals in the tent would be a stretch. Also the tent does not shed rain water properly. Water accumulates above the doors and when bumped water will fall into tent or on your head or back."

Ridgelight Tent,July 18, 2007
By bearbethelfrom Wasilla, Alaska
"I needed a light weight tent for fly-in trips were weight is of the up most concern. Used this tent on a 5 day trip into the Talkeetna mountains where I encountered typical Alaska weather, rained day and night. Not one leak, but you will learn to give the top of the tent a rap or two to keep water from running down your back when you exit. I bought the 3 man which has decent room for 2, if you put in 3 I suggest they know each other well. Good tent for the weight consious."
