Camp Chef Lumberjack Skillet,

"I did not care for this skillet- as soon as I opened the box and took out the main skillet (handle is a separate piece) some of the "seasoning" flaked off and the entire pan was not evenly coated. I read reviews and thought I'd give it a shot on our camping trip, since it was certainly big enough for our family. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed. My eggs stuck on the first try, even after spraying. I also ordered the lid- almost all reviews recommended it for keeping ash and other stuff out of the food. It was really flimsy, but it did do the trick."

"We used this pan all last summer for a family of 5 and loved it. We had friends out to the camp site which added 4 more people and the pan was still big enough for everything we needed. Get the lid as it is worth it."

Food Delight!,

"I recently purchased this pan for cooking and let me tell you, its big. If you are looking for something to cook 5+ dozen eggs in, this is it. We had eggs, sausage and bacon going at the same time. On different occasions, we cooked grilled cheese sandwitches, and 5 lbs of polish sausage! Whats nice about the pan is that you can easily take the handel off to make carrying it easier. This came in handy when I had to carry it down the trail. *It will not fit in a backpack unless yours is over 20" wide. I highly suggest that you buy the lid that comes with the pan. I bought it and I was glad I did because it kept all the ashes from the fire out of the food. YOU NEED THE LID...JUST BUY IT!!!!!!"

Camp Chef Lumberjack skillet 20" and Lid,

"If you are looking for a gift for the person that has everything this is definately it. I have never seen a pan SO BIG and can fry up enough for a large camping crowd. Cleaning one big pan is better than cleaning several. Definately a conversation piece even if used for decor for your house when not in use. If you are going to buy the pan i would recommend buying the lid with it. I think you will regret it if you dont."

"What a wonderful addition to my camping equipment. I was always using a large griddle and had to be careful not to spill over the edges, now, with the skillet, I can really sling hash and keep my stove much more neet and clean."

"This is a great heavy-bottomed skillet for cooking on an open campfire. I am happy with the purchase, but I only gave it 4 stars because the seasoning/coating on the bottom started to come off with the first use. By the third use it was gone completely and now needs to be reseasoned. However, no instructions came with the skillet that tell how to care for or reseason it. Regardless, I am still happy with my purchase. Although the skillet has flaws, there are very few steel skillets out there that are this heavy-bottomed and this large. I'm not limited to what I can cook it in like I am with cast iron because there are no acid reactions with the metal."
