"I have used many different lights around the house and in the field. This light puts them all to shame. One of the great things about this light is that it is rechargeable. I usually spend around $300.00 per year on 123 lithium batteries for my other lights. So the way I figure this light will pay for itself. The other thing is that it is super bright. Add a red flip cover lense to it and it makes an awasome light for coyote hunting."

"The light bulb lasted less than 10 minutes. No replacement bulbs that I can find, even at half the output. The light goes back to Cabela's. They do have great customer service."

"I am a corrections officer that works night shift and have had this flashlight for a few days. I have used other flashlights to do my cell block checks throughout the night; this is the only light that allows me to see the entire cell illuminated which helps me keep everybody safe. "I was suprised how small the light is but how bright it is. I am in Law Enforcement and when I used this light, others asked me where I got it. "What a Beast!! I purchased my first high quality light from Cabela's last Christmas, a 70 lumen model that has since been discontinued, and was so impressed with the quality of it that I decided to buy this Monster as soon as I accumulated enough credit card points to get it for free. Wow, is this thing bright! I know there have been some complaints about not leaving it on for over 10 minutes, but I suspect this was added to the instructions just for liability purposes. I've run mine for 15 minutes at at time with no problems, and suspect it would be no problem to go the full 40. This thing will put the headlights on your truck to shame! Highly recommended!"

"So far I love it. A very bright white LED - not the yellow or blue like some I have seen.
We are using the light for chimney inspections. It's size and strength make it an ideal choice. This is the third week of use, and no complaints so far.
The case seems to be tough and just may withstand a drop - should it ever happen."

Bright Enough to Get You In Trouble with the FAA,February 9, 2009

"If you want a flashlight that shines about 600+ feet, or one that clearly lights an area around you, this is it. I use it primarily to pick up the reminants of the dogs being in the yard - at night. It lights a wide path, so I am able to get around the land mines without issue. Then, if I want to tick off the fox in the neighborhood, he gets zapped from 400 feet away. It's practical, it's fun.
As far as the FAA goes, it is very bright so be careful if you point up in the air. I have not done (and would not recommend doing), but I believe you be able to easily signal someone or something from a long distance.
Rear switch on (you twist it on vs clicking a button) is not an issue. I have charged once and it has run about 25 minutes' time over 3 weeks. No signs of dimming. I got on sale. It is a great product and made solidly. Too big to comfortably carry on your waist, but if you are a cop, perhaps it has some blinding or self defense aspects to consider.
I have always found the XPG line of flashlights to be nie and a good value when on sale."

"Finally a flashlight that is bright enough for Law Enforcement officers in Alaska. We have a lot of dark hours during the winter, however, this light cuts through the darkness with a purpose. The best part is the rechargeable battery and 90 minute run time. Suspects have commented on how they were temporaily blinded and their eyes hurt when I shined it in their face. It's like having a portable spot light in your hand."

"The flashlight is really bright, in fact within just a second of turning it on it can be used as a hand warmer. Most importantly I have enough light to perform any task. I am not thrilled with the short run time (40 minutes isn't much when dressing an animal) and the screw on sleeve that covers the charging port is a bit inconvienent. Over all still a good flashlight."
