The ultimate base camp for large groups of hunters or campers. This patented design features a large
10-ft. x 14-ft. outfitter-style tent with six zippered openings along the tent walls for attaching
"Individual Sleeping Quarters (ISQ)" that can be closed off from the main tent with separate zippered
doors. This leaves the main tent open for tables, chairs or other gear, and it can be used to sleep other
people for even larger groups. This is the same tent design used by the U.S. Forest Service. The tent
includes two ISQ pods, and additional pods can be purchased separately to utilize all six openings. Each
pod will accommodate a full-size camp cot including the 40"-wide Cabela's Outfitter™ XL cot
(sold separately). The pods also can be used on their own as solo tents. Tent and pods are constructed
of XTC tent cloth a 250-denier polyester oxford that is extremely durable, lightweight and
totally waterproof. The main tent features steel perimeter poles that are easy to set up and offer
incredible strength in high wind, heavy snowfall and extreme weather. Two steel center poles provide
strength and durability for years of use. 5-ft. side walls maximize headroom along the sides. The inverted, T-shaped
door features heavy-duty No. 10 YKK® zippers for quality and durability. An awning
keeps water off the doorway during downpours. There is a zippered panel in the floor for safe
placement of a wood-burning stove (not included). The stove jack storm flap allows a safe placement
of the stove pipe and covers the jack when you're not using a stove. There are four convenient patented
cup holders and four mesh pockets built into the walls. Heavy-duty guy ropes with steel adjusters and
12" steel stakes secure the tent. Three large multipanel windows along the roof have clear vinyl,
zippered covers and No-See-Um mesh panels. Ventilation panels along the side of the tent help to
decrease condensation, especially nice in changing weather conditions. Imported.

A different perspective,June 21, 2009
By Hunterwithfamilyfrom SLC, UT
"While this tent was purchased for the upcoming rifle deer hunt it is not for the traditional hunter and adult buddies portrayed in the reviews at the time I am posting this. I purchased this to bring my young family on an otherwise harsh weather deer hunt that I have enjoyed since my earliest years. Most others are now in trailers and only a young couple continues to stay in a dome tent. In the past two excursions we have made in this tent we have had plenty of room. A pod can fit a bunkbed cot but would only suggest having kids sleep on the top bunk. The last time being this past weekend in which two families (4 adults and 7 kids) had ample room with only two pods connected (we'll definitely be getting more pods). I have yet to get a stove for it but used a Coleman stove for breakfast in the morning where the stove would go and it heated the tent up nicely (temps were near freezing). I plan on getting the Tundra takedown stove in time for the deer hunt seeing how I only have a small SUV (Chevy Equinox) for transporting all my camping equipment. The tent and all our sleeping bags (5 4 season sleeping bags for my family) fit nicely on top of our vehicle in a canvas rack bag (that came with a Springbar tent) with all the extras (tent, 10x20 tarp, poles, stakes, vestibule, floor panel, roof panel and 2 pods) leaving the back of our vehicle open for things like packs, stoves, food, etc (we have room for more than just the takedown stove). We still have the option of a hitch mounted rack in the back of our small SUV which makes life easier. The other thing is we live in a small married student apartment and the tent fits nicely in our closet (the tent fits perfectly in a military duffle). It comes with plenty of bags for carrying it in parts or all together (over 100 lbs of it) so I can't say anything negative about this tent and will be using it again a few times this summer before the ultimate test of deer camp (which as long as the stove performs I doubt anything will be a problem as we have had odd weather lately in Utah with atypically cold spells). I would also recommend it for any other family who wants to enjoy the great outdoors Utah has to offer."

Great outfitter tent,May 5, 2009
By fishndanfrom snoqualmie, wa
"This tent is great! It has a very spacious layout with the individual sleeping pods allowing for gear and cots to be out of the main quarters. This creates a great open space for gear and a common area. I have used this in the rain and in mild weather & it passed with flying colors. I'm looking forward to taking it elk hunting this fall. Easy to set up- took about 20 mins with two guys and took own in the same amount of time with one."

ISQ Tent,January 27, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Southern Illinois
"Great tent! We purchased all the assessories with the tent and all worked great. We used the tent Elk hunting in colorado 4th season. It performed great. Only problem was getting the pods ziped on around the corners. Corners need a longer curve. Because of weight issues with the tent poles I replaced the poles with 7075 aluminium poles and they worked great. Poles only weigh around 18 lbs now instead of original 59 lbs poles. You can also replace the tent stakes next to the tent with lighter ones but the guy line stakes use the original large stakes. The wind blew hard defferent times and the tent did great. We left the vents open so we did not have moisture issues except in the vestibule. It was wet several times. We stored wood and gear and did some cooking in the vestibule. I read reviews on the stove pipe hole melting so we wraped 1/2in. fiberglass batting around the pipe where the hole is and used a hose clamp to hold it in place. It worked great. The pipe was cherry red several times and all was well. The fiberglass turned darker in color but did not melt. We used the 5in. to 4in. tapered pipe which leaves room for the wrap. Our tent, stakes and poles weigh around 75lb now so we can pack it if we need to. Pods and vestibule are extra weight around 7 lbs each. When we pack it in we leave the center poles and cut some lodge poles when we get where were going. Note 2 kinds of wood in colorado pine and aspen. Aspen burned clean but very fast. Seasoned pine would plug the large whole spark arester every night. I recomend taking some oak with you. We used a 14" cylinder stove and had to add aspen every hr. Pine every 2 to 3 hrs. plus clean the pipe."

Maiden voyage was nice...,February 10, 2008
By campfiremanfrom Elizabethtown, NC
"We took the ISQ out to the farm camping this weekend and highly enjoyed it. Instructions sewn into stuff sack were easy to follow. Great amount of room in tent. We used it with the cylinder stove and stayed nice and toasty overnight at 38 degrees. High winds, approximately 20-30 mph gave a few tense moments looking up at the flue pipe hole wondering if the wind would pull the pipe out, but it held nicely. I was impressed that the tent sidewall at the flue pipe moved very little. The tent is very well vented and velcro flaps made venting easy to control. The ISQ bay doors can be unzipped on a sunny day (we had a nice one) giving a huge flow-through! The only negative is that the black rubber at the flue hole melted to the flue pipe. Grr."

Great Tent, Snow can be a drawback.,October 16, 2007
By AzarDogfrom Oregon
"I used the Cabella's ISQ tent with four pods on three hunting trips. The biggest advantage for this tent is the room. With four hunters, the main body of the tent was not cluttered with gear, cots, etc. The first two hunting trips were bow hunting in Oregon, and the weather was dry, a little windy and warm. The tent was excellent. The third trip was a little more weather. The first night it snowed about two inches, and the tent was flawless. No leaks, wind didn't seem to bother us, things went well. The third night, we got about 8 inches of wet snow. The isq pods are not sloped enough on the roof to shed this type of snow, and the accumulation made them sag to the point of touching your sleeping bag at the foot end. This caused some dampness problems. The tent was excellent other than this snow problem. It takes about 45 minutes for two people to set up."

Great tent for not so great weather,March 11, 2007
By moelkchaserfrom Kansas City, MO
"Myself and 5 others used the ISQ with all 6 pods hooked up to it for 10 days during a Colorado bow hunt. The weather started out as rain, sleet, snow, sleet and so on. Not one time did we have a problem with us or anything in the tent getting wet. There are too many positives about this tent to list in one review but if I had to pick one it would be the fact of having 6 people in one tent and still having room to get ready for that early morning hunt morning after morning and having plenty of room. Great job Cabelas on knocking this one out of the park!"
