Attwood Mercury® Outboard Motor Covers

These custom-fit covers for Mercury engines fit better than universal hoods, plus they display the official Mercury logo in brilliant white against a sleek black background. The shell material is an abrasion-resistant polyester with an acrylic coating for water proofing and UV resistance. The lining provides a cushioned barrier around the cowling. Motor cover on 2-stroke, 4-stroke, and optimax motors only cover the cowling of motor, does not include tail as shown on Verado motor. 5-year warranty.

"I purchased a previous cover which blew off while trailoring down the road. The new cover is styled a bit differant but with improvements. It has a zipper in front. The cover is real nice looking and fits good, quality is excellant. I wouldn't recommend keeping on motor while going down the road or you might risk having it blow off."

Too Small, Too Expensive, November 25, 2008

"Almost tried it on a Merc 150 Optimax. The cover will not fit - no way, no how. Two of us huffing and puffing could not get cover on. If we could have gotten it on, it would not even have covered the cowel. Too small, too expensive, too inferior. So, I had a custom cover made for $100. It fit perfectly. And...it covered all but the lower unit. Just right!"

"This cover is very well made and well padded.It doesn't however look like the catalog or box show. They both show a cover that extends further down the motor. This one ends at the bottom of the cowling."

"I also have a 115HP 4-stroke. It's certainly not a custom fit. The picture on the web page appears to fit much better than mine. I expect that a larger one would just be too lose in some places.
If not for wanting the Mercury logo, I would have had one made. I still may."

"Very nice motor cover. Quality material, and a very sharp looking cover. The cover provides an alomost exact fit. It is very tight. I odered the B cover for a 115 Merc four stroke. It covers the complete engine housing, but not the shaft as shown in the picture. If your motor is in the upper range of the A, B and C sizing, I would recommend going with the next larger cover."
