"I have used the methods tought by Mr. Mathiot with labs with great results and now working with a couple of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. I recommend this DVD for all who wish to train there own dog "the way it should be"..."

"I had the same audio issue that a previous reviewer had. No sound until the last few chapters on this DVD.
It does, however, play perfectly, and with full audio, on my computer."

"My son has been using what he has learned on the DVD since it arrived. It only took a few days to notice the changes in his puppies. The DVD is very easy to understand and the instructions are clear and to the point and if followed properly I think our dogs will turn out great."

"This product is a very good video on basic and advanced training of retrievers. I do wish that it had gone into more depth, dog psychology, reasons why, that sort of thing.
But still this is an excellent choice for the hunter who has perhaps always had pretrained dogs or started pups and who is now heading into new territory, as I myself am, and taking upon himself the whole of his companion's training."

"The manufacturer of this Disc did a losy job of transferring the audio component of this once VHS tape onto the Disc. There is no audio until the end of the beginner series... only then do you get both audio and video."

"I am an experience dog handler/trainer. I purchased this video for my kids who had just purchased a labrador retreiver and I wanted her trained correctly. I viewed the video before giving it to them and I was very impressed with the quality and content of the lessons. I would recommend this video to everyone who wants a well trained well mannered dog!!!!!!"

"This video is very good in the way that it shows you step by step, and week by week on what to do with your dog. I am very into upland game hunting and have seen alot of dogs work, but have never had one of my own. So I am pretty ignorant on how to go about traning, and I think that this vieo is a very good key on helping me get the dog that I want."
