"I have had this watch for just a little over a month and up to this point I think it is probably the best watch I have ever owned. I am an outdoors enthusiast and spend a lot of time swimming, hiking, biking and hunting just to name a few so just about everthing I wear takes a lot of punishment. The Series II is no exception. Despite being banged around quite a bit there is not a scratch on the crystal and even though it has been in the water, both lake and pool, practically every day there has not been a drop of condensation form on its face. The velcro band is tough and dependable and very comfortable. In other reviews there has been mention that the velcro band takes a long time to dry out after being immersed in water or sweat. I have not found this to be the case. The band dries out quickly and even though it has been drenched in sweat at least a dozen times after 50/60 mile bike rides it does not have any odor. Additionally, the luminous hands and numbers work just as advertised. No problem telling time in the middle of the night. In my opinion this watch looks sharp enough to be worn with both casual and dress attire. Go for it!"

"I received this watch as a gift. After 3 replacements, I opted for a gift card. The numbers wore off the bezel on the original one. The next had tritium inserts stop working. The last one stopped running twice in 62 days when placed face down. Cabelas was great about relacing the watches. I tried to contact Luminox and never got through to them or received a call back as promised. With the new 60 day return policy, I decided not to try another replacement."

"Ive had this watch for 10 years now. About 6 months ago The battery finally died. I remembered that I was supposed to send it in to have the battery replaced at the factory to be covered under warranty, but I decided I would do it myself. Mistake. I've had condensation under the crystal a few times now, and this past weekend I went swimming in a pool with it. Completely filled with water and the insides have rusted before I could take the back off. So here I am looking for a new one. I loved this watch for the last 10 years. I have used it as my everyday watch. It has proved great in the outdoors when I've been camping. Loved never needing to push a little buton for light. It has always kept accurate time. I dont think I ever had to change the setting except for daylight savings. Great watch."

"This is the Luminox waterproof dive watch with the nylon band and velcro closure. This watch is very lightweight and comfortable. . The band passes under the watch body making a rugged construction as the pins do not take the force when the watch inevitably gets banged on something. The main feature of Luminox watches are the light vials mounted to the hands and at each 5 minute interval. This feature makes the watch readable in dim light or total darkness, great for those nighttime fishing trips. This watch has a rotating bezel with a light dot useful for timing activities such as hiking segments on a backpack trip. This watch is a bit pricey but I have had may years of trouble free operation and the nighttime readability is unique. Great watch for the outdoorsman who doesn't always get home before dark."

"I purchased this watch in June 2006 and wanted to wait a while to really field test it before I left a review. I've worn this watch almost every day since I recieved it...hunting, fishing and at work. Its very light weight and comfortable. The watch face is very scratch resistant, I've had several hard scrapes with steel directly on the face that I thought would ruin the watch, but there are no visible scratches. It keeps good time having not lost a minute since I first set it. Thats as good as another Swiss watch I own that cost many times the price of the luminox. The hands and hour marks are very easy to read, even in pitch black conditions, and are showing no signs of fading. The only negative comment I could make is the nylon strap. Although it is quite comfortable, it gets dirty very easily, especially if you work around oil, and it begins to smell. I am still giving the watch a 5 star rating because the strap was easily replaced, and thats a personal preferance, not a flaw in the watch. All in all, I think this was money well spent. If I ever do need to replace this watch, I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one."

"I've had this watch a couple of weeks now, and it's one great feeling, great looking watch, and boy are the little gas filled capsules bright. You can read this watch in any light. I live in the mountains and do lots of outdoor motorcycle riding, and camping, as well as cutting and splitting lots of firewood. Wet, dry, hot, it's all here, and the watch keeps perfect time. I give this watch a 5 star rating. Uncle Cat"

"I loved the watch in the beginning, showed it to everyone. It looks great,can see the time in total darkness and is light weight. I wore the watch for about 6 weeks and did saltwater fishing every weekend ..But here is why I returned it. 1. The second hand did not hit exactly on the second hand markings.Some people may laugh and not care but I didn't pay $20.00 for the watch I expect the second hand to hit the mark. When I showed a friend my new watch he pointed it out to me...and yes he made fun of my new watch. 2. The strap needs to be dried off if you get it wet. The strap smelled like mildew and I had to keep washing the watch to get rid of the smell. You also have to wash the band after being in salt water becase the band gets a "salt" stain on it.When I brought the watch back I looked at 3 of the same watches and all 3 the second hands did not match up."

"After countless watch purchases I decided to pay the hefty price for this one, and have never looked back! This as been with me now for four years, salmon fishing on the second largest river in Alaska, hunting on the tundra in -40 weather, getting smashed under rocks, dragged through the mud, and anything else I can throw at it. We recently moved to Anchorage from the bush and I have been pool swimming with it every morning and it has not missed a beat! The band it comes with is handy velcro, but since I'm not a Navy SEAL and don't feel comfortable trying to advertise the SEAL insignia on the band; I was able to find genuine Luminox bands (both velcro and buckle versions) online. If you are debating because of the price, DON'T! You will never have to buy another watch again!"

"I got the yellow Series II and absolutely love it! Lightweight and comfortable on my wrist, easy to use, very easy to see, day or night - can't believe how bright it is at night and even in-between times.
