"the reel was fine and very smooth and the anti reverse worked perfectly so i never got backlash. the rod was light and sensitive but i accidentilay bought the 2piece rod and the eyes never line up right after a hookset. other then that its a good combo."

"this combo was a great price, and very nice to look at. Upon recieving and looking at the line up of the rod eyes, the 2nd eye to the end sticks out farther the the third (of course maybe it is supposed to be that way?) On the first day of fishing I boated about 8 walleye and a few perch, then I felt my line was feeling rough, and when I set the hook on what I believe to be a nice fish the line broke. After viewing the reel I found that the line had cut a groove in the plastic next to the roller on the bail and that it rode the groove in the plastic instead of staying on the bail roller. I will be mailing this back and I hope know else experiences this problem.FISH HARD"

"Currently I have 3 Quantum spinning combo's. I like how the brake on the Quantum reel stops immediately if you attempt to back reel. This feature helps set your hook. I also enjoy the feel of the strike through the rod and fluid flow of the line when casting."
