LGC 3000,July 22, 2008

"I have now had 3 failures w/ the GPS module antenna and am currently awaiting for Lowrance to send me back a new unit to try to get the GPs in my LCX 27c back up and running. Every other trip out on the water I have a failure and do not have gps capability. The sonar works great though.

Lowrance GPS,June 7, 2008
By jagertomfrom Cape Cod Massachusetts
"The GPS module initiated immediately upon power on and was able to identify my location, after zooming in, even though only 2 satelites were visible. On the water it synced perfectly with the Lowrance display map to provide exact locations. The route mapping feature allowed me to return along the same path to a school of stripers. GPS speed indications showed that the boat speedometer was off by 1.8 mph at 30 mph."

Lowrance LCX 27 GPS 3000,July 20, 2007

"My purchase experience at Cabela's was great. The order went out promptly and most importantly, communication was great. Price was competitive although not the cheapest on the net, but I hate doing business with a company I can't talk to. The GPS 3000 module performs as advertised. The problem with Lowrance right now is the NMEA 2000 interface. The unit and module has a different (red) connector than all of the NMEA 2000 interface sensors(blue), so you spend a lot of time and money dertermining, ordering, waiting for backordered adapters, cables and terminators(NOT CABELAS FAULT). Lowrances customer service is the WORST. I have a problem with their Nauticpath chart working in the unit and every time I called for 3 days the line was busy. When I finally got through(28 minites), I went through the prompts and when entered the number for LCX model support recieved a message that everyone was in a meeting. I called the next day, I entered the number for general support, got through(20 minutes) and after describing my problem was told the issue had to go to the software people and check the website for a software update. No one is going to call to help me or tell me the problem has been resolved. Hope Cabela's posts this"
