Cabelas Lakeside II pants,

"After reading all the negative reviews on these pants, I thought I'd try a pair and see for myself. They are definately cut slim in the hips and will shrink regardless of what setting you put them on when you wash & dry them. The length shrunk well over a inch, but luckily not so much in the hips.
While the style of the pants is nice, the legs are huge. Almost look like bell bottoms. If the pant leg had been tapered or straight legs, they would be great. I wear between a 4 and a 6, ordered the 6 and they fit ok. I dont like the cut in the hip. but for what I paid for them on sale, I'll just keep them to hunt in."

"These pants are of very high quality, with a heavy fabric suitable for cooler months. They were small - I usually wear a 10 but these were closer to a size 8. Yes, I did recheck the size tag inside the garments, and they were labeled "10".
All is not lost however, I simply gave them to my grandaughter, and ordered a size 12 for myself.

"The quality and style are great; however, they are cut too tight. I will probably wind up sending these back, because of the fit. I really do like the pants, but they are not true to size. I would recommend these pants, but want to warn about the size issue."

"This is the fourth pair of these pants. I find them easy to wear in hot and cooler weather. They are very robust but fashionable as well. The trousers are ideal for my work in a primary school reception class."

"I did not order up and they fit perfectly, but did shrink some after washing as recommended. Button was barley attached when pants arrived and I needed to sew it on before wearing. Zipper will not stay up and pants wrinkle very easy. Nice color, fabric is lighter weight than I expected. Overall not very happy. This is the first product from Cabela's that I have not been pleased with. Will probably return them."

"These pants run very small through the hips. I wear a 6 or 8 but ordered a 10 and they were still snug. The pants also sit above the natural waist. They look great on the model in the catalogue but putting them on is disappointing."

"I purchased these pants to use while participating in some field work. The pants fit very well - the waist is not tight and the pants move well during bending and kneeling. They also wash well - no shrinkage. My only criticism is that they wrinkle as soon as you put them on. So, although I would never wear them to the office, they are fine for the field."

"I ordered these pants 2 sizes too big because of past reviews. The legs are huge and the waist is still probably a size too small! I work in a garage and they seem to be holding up to that ok, but they are certainly not comfy."

"I ordered two pairs of these pants in "long"--but I won't tell you the size because I am feeling large after the holidays! However, these (what seems to me a large size) pants fit nicely enough to be comfortable and are also flattering. If you've ever felt like you had a large rear and tummy, and if you're built like a curvy pear like me, you should try them. They're also a great value for the price. The fabric is also nice. A very good deal."
