"I wore these brand new (didn't make time to treat them) while backpacking in the Arkansas countryside. Everything except my socks got wet during a strong downpour. By the end of the day, my feet and back still felt like walking and climbing! I took the soles out that night and let the shoes dry. By morning, I was set to go again. This is my second Merrell hikers and I love them."

"I would recommend this boot to all of my friends! My feet stay warm and dry in the snow no matter how long I'm outside. The tread on the bottom is a huge help with traction, too. The laces are not showing any wear. Being a college student, a popular, expensive brand name boot rhyming with Pugs, are in right now, and these Merrell boots are much warmer than the above brand name as well as stylish, too. If you are looking for warm, reliable boots, skip the fashion statement, and get these boots!"

"Great hiker. There was never a break in period. My feet stayed dry through out my trip to Ireland. My tennis shoes stayed in the suit case The only problem I had was on wet river rock, and some types of flooring. I just about fell on my keester."

"I work on my feet more than 12 hours a day and Merrell hangs in there with me. I have several pairs in different styles. Reflex Gore-Tex is my favorite for my outside activities. They used to make the same shoe in a low style. I sure hope that they bring those back. I wore the treads out on my last pair."

"i have small narrow feet (size 6.5) and was worried i'd be knockin' around the inside of these boots as with most others i've tried. NOT so! I ordered the size 7. fit great. feel great. i wear them all day and my feet feel wonderful. no aches, pains, blisters, or discomfort of any sort. no special socks needed. plenty of support for my ankle and arch. I'm not a bigtime hiker, but i do spend a fair amount of time exploring in the woods near the house. These fit my outdoor needs perfectly and i wear them on the street when i know i will need the extra support and will be on my feet all day. You know how good it usually feels at the end of the day to finally take your shoes off? you let out that big sigh and the air hits your feet and you think how good it feels to get your feet out of those shoes! I've never felt that way with these. I forget i have them on....amazing. i only wish all of my shoes were this comfortable! I wish they were more affordable so i could have several pairs, but i stilll think they are worth the money. merrell has earned my business!"
