"I bought two, one for home and one for the cabin. One never worked and the other displayed but was completely erratic.
Total waste of time effort and money. Manufacturer was non-responsive to multiple emails."

"This is my 2nd LaCrosse Rain Guage. Neither one has worked. I replaced the batteries, followed the instructions and both Rain Guages fail to work. One Rain Guage lasted for 6 months and the other for 2 weeks.
I do not recommend this product. Look elsewhere."

"I don't know what the other people are talking about this rain gauge being hard to set up. Just put the Batteries in the transmiter first then the receiver then don't touch any buttons for 3 minutes.
Yes folks it's that simple. I love it and I am going to get more to give out as presents.

"The unit worked as advisited. It was easy to install. Just install batteries, wait a few minutes, mount sending unit and just wait for the rain to come. I am very satisifed with it."

"We followed the directions exactly, but couldn't get it to work accurately. Measurements were way off. Directions were a joke. Sent it back for a refund and will never mess with one again."

"I would describe the setup of this gauge as frustrating. We followed the directions and could not get the 2 parts to "talk" to each other. The steps had to be repeated several times before it finally worked. Even then we do not know what was different. Other than that the unit seems to work as intended. It does usually read less than our old standard rain gauge but I have attributed that to differences in accuracy. Other than that, for the price I think this is a decent buy."

"I will be returning the unit for credit. I suspected the numbers were incorrect so purchased second rain gauge (manual type) to double check.
The La Crosse unit recorded .85 inches of rain and the manual unit showed over 5 inches which is what the weather station also recorded.
I will reorder a unit that is a little larger and hopefully more accurate"

"This product is not all that it is cracked up to be - get two different readings from the same rain storm and the amount of rain registered differs from an old fashined rain gauge situated nearby.
Definitely not worth the money."

"Getting the battery compartment open is the very devil! Worked fine for about a week and is now not working. Don't know if someone pressed buttons inadvertently or if something else has failed. Instructions were difficult to follow and I still don't know how to clear its memory."
