"This product works great. I've been a 'Weaver"type cross-slot user for years, but when putting together a lightweight carbine I wanted a trimmer more eye pleasing look so I decided to give this system a try. When mounting on a target-varmint rifle I'll probably continue to use the Weaver type, but if your looking to outfit a lightweight hunting rifle with a very durable QW system these work great, and they do it without breaking up the clean lines of your favorite sporter. This is my second set. Highly recommend."

"I recently purchased these for my Thompson Omega on a friends' suggestion and I couldn't be more pleased with the precise fit and ease of installation. Im real fussy about keeping my firearms clean and to be able to completely remove the scope of my Omega, clean it, then replace the scope to perfect zero without need of going back to the range to resight is a no brainer! Thanks Cabelas for another outstanding product and wonderful customer service."

QR mean Quite Right,

"I have these mounts on 8 Center fire and one Muzzleloader. I own enough quality scopes so I have a primary and one that is back up for each rifle I take hunting. The QR system allows me to maintain accuracy within 1 MOA., allows me to use Iron Sights if needed, allows me to protect my scopes when travelling, and allows the flexibility of having different type scopes for the same rifle but for different condtions, different handloads, etc. I wish they were made for my Browning BLR, that seems to me a perfect marriage so the rfle could be easily scabbered, and a scope could be snapped on when needed, protected until ready to use in a saddle bag or pack, etc.
If you get this system, you will not be disappointed at the various accuarate and useful options provided to you."

"the
mount i recently purchased was a replacement to one that i had
accidently broke in removing the scope from my black powder
rifle...only the front mount had to be replaced but they come in a
set...if i am lucky the next mt. to be replaced will be the rear mt.
because i have the extra....having said all that- the quick release
mount system has been really great because it allows me to clean the
gun with the scope off and then replace it after cleaning without
re-sighting the gun every time...i stll resight it before every hunting
season but it is usually very close to being right on consistently.good
system..."

"Leupold Rings and bases are the best I have ever used and will use nothing else. I have never had to shim a base and tolerances on these quick release mounts are close to perfect. Spend a little more on rings and bases and receive a very high quality American made product!"

"Leupold has done it again. I put this on my T/C Omega, .50 inline blackpowder. Very easy to mount and take off scope for cleaning and or for the states that don't allow for telescopic scopes during muzzleloader season"

"I have been using this base for about 3 years now. Never ever have I had any problems what so ever removing or re-attaching my scope to the base. I have a Swarovski 50mm objective mounted on a Browning A-bolt 7mm Mag rifle. Despite the recoil it never has lost its zreo point of impact.
To this day, I can stack rounds on top of one another without any deviation in the Vertical or Horizontal plane. It is also great when traveling, to be able to detach your scope and place it in another case. I have bought one for a Browning .243 and I am planning to buy one for my son's ruger 7mm-08. If you want a detachable scope mount, you will have years of no regret with this one."

"Leupold does not make a base for the TC 17 cal HMR. I spoke to a representative at Leupold and TC and both told me that Leupold bases will not fit the TC 17 cal. HMR barrel. Only Weaver makes bases that fit a TC17 HMR. The Weaver bases can only be aquired through TC Arms."

"Tried these for the first time. Have always been skeptical about Q.R. type bases. I AM SOLD. Will only use Leupold Q.R. in the future. At the range I removed my scope 8 times to test their accuracy. Right on the money each time ( 1 ins. groups at 100yds.) GREAT PRODUCT."

"This base along with the quick release rings are perfect for a state where you can use a scope on your black powder during rifle season, and then you have to use open sights during black powder season. The scope comes right off and always is right on when you put it back on. Awesome product!!!!!!"
