Darn good edge,October 28, 2009
By oneeyedjack08from Minnesota
"This is very easy to use, however, the blade cannot be too dull to start with or it will take a long time to sharpen. Burrs are gone so you get a very smooth cut."

Get one,May 4, 2009
By rcknowsfrom Pittsburgh, PA
"I have been a fanatic about sharp knives virtually my entire life. I have an exceptional set of kitchen knives that I have kept sharp for years, but I would always have to break out the GATCO kit and put an edge on them. I purchased the steel a couple of years ago, and haven't had to hone them since. I have recently sharpened my girlfriends knives and I purchased one of these for her to keep the edge. It's easy, fast, and consistent. Anyone who knows the pleasure of working with sharp knives would have to have one, if they knew about them."

Steeling your blade,June 5, 2007
By Dave333from Minneapolis, Minnesota
"Hey: No mattter what you use to sharpen a knife, the sharpening process is going to leave a burr to deal with. The "steel" is what pro's have used for years to deal with this burr. This product sets your blade angle for you, no expertize is required, you just drop the blade into the slots and pull. The rotational adjustment of the "steels" give you years of precision use. On a recently sharpened blade, I don't resharpen, I just use this steel and the cut is exceptional. Nice product, well engineered. Dave"
