"I really needed a nice warm hat for winter---- I have lymphoma cancer and because of the chemo treatments I have lost all of my hair--- I searched around and found the hat for me--- something to really keep my head warm durning the coming winter months--- the only thing that gets cold is my head even in just a cool winter breeze-- this is a very nice and WARM winter hat and thanks Cabela's for having just what I needed!"

"I purchased this hat in late fall 2007 to use while working in the Baltics, particularly in Lithuania. While I was initially concerned about the price, this hat was worth it. Its quality is excellent and it is well made. The hat is very warm and the beaver fur extremely soft. The fit was excellent. I did not have the chance to use it in temperatures lower than 15 degrees (Fahrenheit), but it did the job well down to that point. I used it in snow storms, freezing rain, and while on deck during cold and windy winter night ferry crossings on the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Latvia. The hat works well. However, if you are looking for hat to impress the ladies, this "ain't it." With the ear flaps pulled down, it is great protection against the elements, but women will walk the other way when they see you coming. The only thing I would like changed, given the choice, would be to have a beaver fur lining under the leather crown as well, rather than a quilted lining. That aside, I would definitely buy this hat again."

"Purchased beaver and coyote fur hats. Normal head gear size 7 1/2 - large fits just right. Coyote feels itchy due to long fur length but nothing else compares to beaver. No wonder the fir trade was so popular in N. America."
