"I've known about this device for many years. I finally ordered the tool and two different modified cases. This tool makes determining the depth to lands extremely easy. No more magic marker on a bullet and testing and testing. Just make your measurement, recheck, recheck...done. That just took about two minutes."

Didn't fit,

"I didn't check the OAL of the modified 270 case when I first used it. Bolt would not close when first used, applied a little pressure, bolt closed but 'wrinkled' the case neck so unsure of results. But, so inexpensive will probably just order another one and check out before using. Keep in mind that if using bullets with cannelures, the manuals say bullet depth should be to middle of cannelure and that will usually be less than the measurement you get using this tool. Length of 'bullet jump' may be a concern to the accuracy buff but to us deer hunters who also reload it's really no biggie. I said I would recommend but only with a couple of caveats first."

"I have been able to speed up my bullet seating and my groups. The complete set up gives you longest seating starting point, and then you back off per instructions . Easy to use and I dont start any new loads without it."

Don't waster your time or money,

"None of the four cases I ordered would fit in my factory cut chambers(.223, .22-250, .270, & .300WM). You can achieve the result by using one of your own cases and seating the bullet down until the bolt closes then measuring the length. This is a very over-rated product and clearly not worth the money. Thank God for Cabela's great return policy."

"Bought this with the OAL Chamber Gauge & it works great. I worked a couple of load-ups & used the OAL from the manufacturer's manual & didn't have one group under 2". Once I got this great tool & was able to load to my rifle's specs my groups closed to 1/2". It's also nice to have this to reload for my dad's rifle since, thanks to this tool, I have found out his chamber is .070" shorter than my rifle. Very easy to use & it just takes seconds to measure your chamber with this & the OAL Chamber Gauge and works with every different bullet type I've used."
