Saves Time and Fingers,
October 7, 2009
By Zolt

"This makes loading a Ruger 10/22 magazine a lot easier than trying to do it by hand. The device is easy to load with ammo and then just by turning the handle you can quickly fill a high-capacity magazine. I figure I can load four 25-round mags in just about the same time it takes to do a couple of 10s by hand.
Recommended."

Not Bad,

"I read the reviews so I wasn't expecting miracles. I don't think its much faster than loading by hand, but your fingers don't hurt at the end of the day. It works extremely well once you have the mag in the right place. I think it would save a lot of time on high capacity mags, but for loading 10 round mags it takes a lot of time to get the mag loaded and unloaded from the machine."

Falls apart real easy.,
May 26, 2009
By Sonicrs4

"It is quite difficult just to get a magazine to snap into place before you can start to us it. You need 3 hands, one to hold the loader, another to hold the magazine and the third to squeeze the 2 little levers in order to get the mad into the loader. If you use a completely empty magazine than the first time you twist the lever 2 rounds will fall into place causing the unit to jamb. You have to remove the magazine, install 1 round first then put the magazine back into the loader. after that it will load rounds really good.... until the end. If you miscalculate and put in 1 too many rounds than the whole thing jambs us and can the loader will pop apart causing you too have to search for the now missing springs and plastic pieces. If you can recover everything than you have to fight to get it put back together again. I used both the Ruger factory 10 round mag and the Shooters Ridge 25 round mags. Too many problems. Poorly constructed."

Mr,
March 30, 2009

"I purchased one Shooters Ridge 10/22® Magazine Loader. Followed directions. As I was filling a 30 round ramline banana clip, the unit jammed, and as I tried to un jam the snap fitted unit came apart with parts flying everywhere. I was able to retrieve most of the parts. But could not figure how to assemble them. So I ordered another Shooters Ridge 10/22® Magazine Loader to use and see how the parts from the first unit. On the new unit I used tie wraps on clear space to keep the snap together unit from coming apart. Purchased 2 steel lip banana clips, but it again when I was loading the clip loader came apart. I would not recommend this item to anyone."

TOTAL PIECE OF GARBAGE - WASTE OF MONEY 0.0,
February 19, 2009
By TRUCKERMIKE
from Aberdeen, WA
|
"This thing is HORRIBLE! First of all, anyone can hand load any clip much faster. So it's a big waste of time! Second, the ammo doesn't just drop in like it's supposed to. By the time you get done shaking and rattling and basically hand loading the rounds into this thing, you could have already loaded a couple of 25-round clips by hand. Third, you have to get the magazine to sit in it properly. Then turn the handle to load the rounds into the magazine, all while trying not to let the magazine pop out of the loader. The time it takes to crank one 25-round clip full, you could already have hand loaded two 25-round clips. FInally once you use up all the rounds you loaded into this loader, you have to load it up again and start all over again. It's a complete waste of time, it's like loading every round twice, so you can shoot it once. Once I used it all day and was used to it, my buddy and I raced, and the person hand loading ALWAYS won by far. The only good thing I can say about it is, that it is a lot easier on your thumbs than hand loading. But that get's cancelled out when you figure... That same first day of using it, it fell apart. Literally unrepairable... While cranking rounds it split in half and all the cheap plastic pieces and springs just fell to the ground. We weren't done shooting, but it was. So save your hard earned money, and don't buy this piece of junk. IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!! The only reason I gave it 1 star is because you can't give it 0 stars or your review can't be posted. Really I'd like to give it a 0.0..."

Magazine Loader Results,

By Melvin48

"I have been very impress with the ease of using this loader. The shells easily fall into position and the loading process is much faster than trying to hand load a magazine. With a simple rotation of the loading knob, the shell is inserted into the magazine. We were very impressed with the ease of use."

My wife can load her own 10/22 mags Hooraa,
February 5, 2009
By Anonymous
from Boulder City, Nevada
|
"What a neat gadget, loads 50 rounds into after market mags pretty quickly without tearing up thumbs. I did note that as the mag reaches capacity it can put a small dent in the cartridge did not notice any feed problems assiciated with this. The factory 10 rd mag is loaded in an instant, some problems when the device is full (aprox 100 .22 LR) with changing the mags. It seems that there is always a stray round or two that must be removed prior to attaching another mag. Mag attachment and removal, while it takes some getting used to it not that difficult. Due to being manufactured with plastic components I will buy a spare but it seems pretty tough."

works great!,

"Follow the instructions closely. It took several tries to get the magazine seated all the way into the loader the first time because the locking springs are very tight. After a few uses the springs seem to be loosening a bit and inserting the mag is getting easier. Loading each round into the mag takes one complete turn of the handle so I've been counting the turns and stopping after 10 to avoid the loose round in the loader some reviewers mentioned. My only suggestion to Shooter's Ridge would be to make the mag release buttons a bit bigger so they are not so rough on the fingers when inserting and removing the mag. Overall this is a great product."

Difficult to load factory mags,
December 21, 2008
By Dennylxs
from Carrollton, TX

"I am dissapoointed in this product. While it did load an after market 10 round magazine OK, it is very difficult to use with factory 10/22 standard 10 round rotary magazines. As pointed out by others, the mag latch buttons are very hard to press and the factory mags are difficult to insert and nearly impossible to remove. I plan to return mine for a refund."

Almost Perfect,

By TANKfromWV

"This loader worked great with all the magazines I use, which include the factory mag, the Butler Creek hot lips, and ramlines. The only reason I didn't give this loader 5 stars is because it can be a little hard getting the magazine in and out of the loader due to the stiff springs used on the clamps that hold the mag in place. Seems to be a high quality product."
