Bass love these frogs,

"Bass and pickerel really explode on these frogs. I've had days this spring where I've easily had 20 strikes, but I haven't mastered sure hook set. The bodies are thick and you need at least a #5 hook. I've found these frogs can take alot of abuse depending on fish size and type. I've gone through 2 bags of the bull frog color already, but it's worth it. They have a really natural swimming motion. The way they dive and rise, if you weren't pulling them, you'd swear it was a real frog. I've only tried the bull frog and the green pumpkin. Both work great. I do think the fish like the bull frog better. I can't wait to see how these frogs are going to work on lillypads. I did buy some of the stanely ribbits. I think the bodies are to narrow and their not as realistic. They do work. But over all performance, the Stanely doesn't come close to the Agua Glow Mad Tommy. If you want big fish and tons of strikes, then get some Toms."

"I have used numerous different frogs and these always outproduce every other frog bait in the tacklebox. Great in nearly all conditions so far once the temps get over 55-60, although with slow working a bite can be coaxed in colder water.
I can be having a dead day on everything, one of these texas rigged on a 5/0 gamakatsu EWG is a guaranteed winner."

"The Mad Tommy frog has great action in the water. When reeling it in, you want to make sure that it's not to fast of a retrieve. I bought a pack of 5 and all of them have worked great and every on of them is rigged different. When rigged Texas style, this bait is like a miricle in weeds. Its a topwater bait and is heavey so it will cast out far and allow more water diplacement on the surface. Hope this review helps your decision :)"

"Having used all kinds of frogs this one has great action and catches fish. The only problem I have is the hook slot is short, it should run further back on the frog. Overall it is a great product."

"I used these lures for pike here in Alaska and man what a difference these little guys made! I brought 10 of these mad Tommy boys on a single day trip and they were all gone way before the end of the day! The pike would chase this lure and literally hold it in their mouths until I set the hook! Of all the lures I have tried this Cabela's AquaGlow Mad Tommy is the only one that pike would hold onto after striking, they would simply drop any other type of lure once they got a taste of it. But! They would just refuse to let go of Old Mad Tommy, he simply drove them nuts!"

"Again Cabela's Has come up with a good soft plastic with a better price other compairable products . This Mad Tommy frog has a great cast ability , along with a slow fall rate (with out a weight) a very good leg action across the top of the water . With the grove cut in to the frog this does help hide the hook so you will need at least a 3/0 hook. Maybe a few more colors would be nice."

"I've caught dozens of bass and northern pike on this. It is probably the best lure that I have ever used. When hooked weedless, you can cast it into the lilypads and lure those lunkers out with the kicking action from the legs. It seems like I catch something about every cast."
