"I have been using the Terrova for over a month now and consider it the Cadillac of trolling motors. As a 5 ft. female, I was concerned about deploying and stowing, but have had absolutely no problems. Love the universal sonar, constant speed and auto pilot features, as well as the arrow directional toe pads at the bottom of the foot pedal - it's the best!"

Terrova 80 on 23-foot deck boat,August 18, 2008

"This is my first trolling motor, so I can't compare it to others. However, it is doing a very good job. It is quiet and pulls a 23-foot deck boat around with plenty of thrust, if required. The battery usage appears to be efficient. After using it for several hours, it still registered 75% of battery charge remaining. I wish I had purchased the "autopilot" feature that allows you to point the boat at a distant object and forget about making frequent adjustments with the foot pedal. I am considering the purchase of the add-on autopilot."

"The trolling motor was excellent. It moved our 23 foot center console effortlessly even in 5 to 10 MPH winds. There was a bit of prop cavitation but that would be my fault. It says to measure from the mounting surface to the water line and add 20". When I did that, the measurement was 64". I purchased a 60" shaft so that subtracted 4" from the motors submerged depth. The only concern I have is with the pedal actuator. The pedal is very stiff and one must place considerable amount of force on it to make it change diredtion. I am hoping it will loosen up over time. The front two direction buttons are much easier to use. I also purchased the co pilot . Great purchase , highly recommended."

"Very easy to use. The long cord allows you move the foot around anywhere you feel comfortable with. The two control buttons on the back of the foot is very handy. Slim profile is alot better than cable driven foots. The only thing I have had a problem with is deploying it but not too bad. Alot better than cable driven systems for sure."

"I replaced an older model, which was worn out, with a competitive model. I never put it in the water and exchanged it for this model. I never regretted this decision, as it performed wonderful. It is dissapointing to get 1000 miles away from home and have the equipment malfunction. Not one problem with this unit. I have a co pilot which also is excellent. A fine product"
