"Have not used it so can't review effectiveness but seems to be well designed. Did notice one thing though, the shelf life is not very long, I believe one year. When ordering you might specify that you get one with the longest shelf life available."

"My daughter hasn't used it but has reviewed the training video. Wish that it came with a pratice unit just use it before it is needed. Diffidently not your typical pepper spray."

"Well made and very interesting to use. The blasts do carry. The active agent apparently is in a viscous liquid and it really carries a good fifteen feet without arching down much. That part is good. The blast is very short in duration like a projectile and you can't adjust your aim like a water hose. This is like a derringer with two shots and no reloads. You have to get it right the first time or depend on one more shot. I can see being really scared and missing both times and then that's it. I like the range and the build quality. But I think it takes more nerve than a can of mace to use effectively. They make a yellow practice one for half price and you should buy one and try the thumb and forefinger as a site technique that they suggest. It will build confidence to use at max range."

"I carry this whenever I'm not carrying my Glock or S&W. It's particularly handy if your going to bars or clubs. No one recognizes it as a weapon. I rutinely pass through security checkpoints at ball games and concerts with it clipped in my back pocket. I find it far more practical than a firearm in some cases. The other advantage is that to someone who doesn't know what it is, it looks like a Tazer and that in and of itself has a defensive value... People are scared of it! lol."

"This is an excellent product, but one thing to know when making a purchase is the expiration date on each unit may be different. One wouldn't want to purchase this relatively expensive device with an expiration date of less than two years."

"This is a good looking unit which seems well made. I gave one to my son who lives and works in Omaha and with his job goes to some less than great areas. I gave the other to my college age daughter for some extra security around her apartment and on campus. Her best friends mother was very impressed with the unit and asked where she could get one. I'm always happy to recommend Cabela's to all my friends."

"We issued guardian angels to the members of our synagogue security committee. We had a practice session using Kimber trainer (shoots blue paintball paint. Easy to use. Good spray coverage. Acutally shot over 30 feet. Far superior to the "hairspray" type OTC spray"

"This is a very easy to carry self defense weapon for anybody. Comes with a belt clip top clip to a purse or belt. It is about the size of a deck of cards and has a safety and two shots. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because we hav not had to use it yet thankfully so I do not know the pepper sprays effectiveness or range firsthand."

"As with about everything Kimber makes or markets, this is a tremendous product. It could be slightly smaller for more discreet carry, however it fits naturally in the hand and provides a great sense of security for areas where more lethal measures might be too dangerous or unwaranted. Luckily, have not had to actually use it."

"I purchased this for my wife on Mother's Day. She walks a few miles each day on her way to work and some of the areas from her parking lot to her office are pretty sketchy. She isn't comfortable with a gun and I didn't feel comfortable with a little spray can.
The only thing I wish Kimber would do, is make this reloadable. That would allow for some practice without having to replace the unit."
