"A nicely made holster,good leather and stitching. Tight fit at first,but molds to gun well after using neatsfoot compound. It fits my Colt Commander well,but I don't think a standard 1911 will fit."

"My 5" Taurus 1911 with rail would not come close to fitting into the holster and snapping the flap shut. I oiled & worked the leather with gun for several days but still would not fit. The leather & stitching appears good for the price. I will try to sell this flapped holster at the gun range as I am sure it will fit a 4" 1911."

"Wanted a "full" coverage holster and this one seemed to fit the bill. Got it and it was so tight I really couldn't get the gun or clip in it, but the size was right and it was what I wanted. I ended up soaking the holster in warm water, putting my gun and magazine in heavy ziploc freezer bags and then putting them in the wet and pliable hoslter. I set it in a warm place and after a night of drying I am happy with the product. Works just like I want. I didn't try any softener or leather stretcher. Maybe on the next one because I have ordered another to use with my wifes handgun. I guess from previous reviews before ordering I expected it to be tight as it is leather that has not been used, but it was a bit tighter than I expected. Overall however, I do like it."

Perfect brush busting holster,

"I got this holster for hunting with my Mark III Hunter. I like the idea of having a covered flap to protect the gun while walking in the woods and brush. The extra clip pouch is a great idea too. I also really like the classic look of the holster.
I marked it down one star because my Mark III fits incredibly tight. I literally had to cram it into the holster to get it in. I've left it in there for several weeks and it is starting to mold to the pistol. I however still cannot get a clip in the extra pouch. I am sure it will be fine after it loosens/softens up some more but I really hoped I would be able to use it without having to break it in for over a month."

"I SURE LIKE THE QUALITY OF THE LEATHER. A LITTLE STIFF, BUT WITH SOME O'L FASHION SADDLE SOAP, IT SOFTENS UP. THE GUN IS SECURED WHILE SNAPPED IN PLACE. THIS HOLSTER IS GOOD FOR RUNNING, CLIMMING A HILL, JUMPING, EVEN IN A FALL, GUN REMAINS INTACT. NOW IF YOU ARE ONE WHO LIKES TO DRAW FROM THE HIP, I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS HOLSTER. Fits Mark III 22/45,

"Very good quality holster.
I ordered and recieved the model designated for a ruger with a 5.5" barrel. I was a bit worried that it would not fit a Mark III 22/45. My 22/45 fit nice and snug.
There was one small problem. At first the stiffness of the holster would push in on the mag release, effectively dsconnecting the magazine. Every time the pistol would be removed the mag would have to be manually pushed in before it would fire. After leaving the pistol in the holster about a week, the leather evidently formed around the release. I have not had this problem since.
I have used this holster quite a bit while target shooting and walking aroung the woods for about 2 months now. The more I use it the happier I am with my purchase."

"Nice leather and finish, but the fit is way to snug, It is loosing up some with use. The extra magazine can hardly pulled out and has to be forced in, at first the pistol would cock when attempting to put it in the holster, I thought about returning it"

"I returned the holster after trying two holsters. My Tarus PC92 would not fit. The lower section was too tight and prevented the pistol from seating properly. The second almost fit but was still way too tight."

"The holster is really well made and the leather is of good quality, however the reason I gave it a 3 was the snap broke. I assume the snap was ok when I received the item but I can't say for certain. Anyhow I couldn't get it to snap and when I finally examined the snap one side looked like it was bent."

"I recently purchased this holster for my Browning Buckmarck. The pistol fit perfectly in the holster and the only adjustment needed was moving the button up so the flap was snug to grip. It is suprising light weight and sits nice on the hip for a day of hunting."

"The workmanship and overall quality is good, but the fit for my Beretta 92 was not. The first unit delivered would not accept the weapon. It was not possible to put it into the holster. That holster was returned, (exchanged), and areplacement received. This holster will accept the weapon, but is very tight and will take some carry/use before it is properly useful."

"Well made holster but my full size Kimber Eclipse II sits too low in the holster and is difficult to withdraw. In order to close the flap it is necessary to ram the weapon deep into the holster which does not leave much of the pistol grip to grab in order to withdraw the weapon. It is very secure and certainly well protected."
