Trijicon TA-11,April 20, 2009
By Anonymous
"TheTrijicon ACOG 3.5 scope arrived in a timely fashion. It mounted easily to my Colt LE AR 15 carbine, on top of the carry handle. At the range, I shot a good group at fifty yards, and then zeroed at 100 yards. With PRVI 55 gr ammo, I was in the black on each shot. The scope zeroes easily, with audible clicks. The instruction manual could use some editing in the section on zeroing; it says to zero at 100 yards, but all other ranges are listed in meters. The diagrams on how to use the bullet drop compensating reticle are not very good; I went online to a forum to understand how to use the reticle. I have yet to shoot beyond 100 yards, so can't address the function of the drop compensator. I am impressed with the solid feel of the scope; it is a quality instrument, worth its considerable price. The optics are clear, the illuminated doughnut reticle is easily visible, and the scope performs as advertised."

TA11--amazing.,July 31, 2008
By USMC03MOFOfrom Around DC.
"I was very impressed with this optic. I shot a friend's Rock River M4 with this optic. The weapon's groups are about 1 MOA at 100M with mid grade ammo so the donut is great because it's 2 moa inner/4 moa out allows you to compensate for 100/200M (approx. 4" lower bullet impact from 100 to 200M, which for that weapon and ammo was a little over 2 MOA at 200M) very quickly. We couldn't back it up beyond 300M but I have no doubts that the drop compensator would have been dead on. My only gripe with this optic is that the FOV is tight for close range (unavoidable with magnification) and it's not NVG compatable. I have shot numerous models of Eotech optics that were very impressive for rapid target acquisition and NVG compatability. I know Trijicon makes "doctor" reflex sights but I've never tried them---I'm sure they are great b/c you can top mount them to most new trijicon tube optics but I don't know about NVG compatability. I will probably buy the TA11 (or similar depending on reticles available) for my 20" heavy barrel variant but keep reflex for the M4. Oh and it SOLID--I'm pretty sure you could put it though wet/dirty/extreme temp environments w/o any problems--I don't know about fog in cold temp but I seriously doubt they would overlook that in the design."

Trijicon TA-11,July 14, 2008
By Elkjawfrom Albuquerque, NM
"Worth every penny! I shoot 3 gun and this optic system is perfect for this style of competition. I have a Bushmaster and the TA-11 fit on the carry rail perfectly. Installation was a snap and I was shooting within 5 minutes. I picked this optic because of the 'donut' reticle. It provides for quick CQB style shooting and then you are able to settle in for more careful further shots. It comes with a cover and all in a Pelican hard carry case. WOW, what value!"

Awesome Scope,July 7, 2008
By Johnboy795from Sidney, Montana
"Has to be the best scope I have ever used. I put it on my S&W MP-15 and tried it out this weekend. Had it zeroed in six shots at 100 yards. The red dot sight was good the way it was, no adjustment needed. I like the ACOG very much and I am happy with my purchase."

"i use the acog for the us army. i am in the infantry and this scope takes alot of abuse. it holds up to what i put it through. and believe me i put it through alot. it holds the zero and it also it stays where i put it on my M-4. i like the thing alot and i would recommend it to anyone who wants a good scope. the price is high, but that is what you get for a good, durable scope. thanks,

ACOG 4 X 32 EVALUATION,January 7, 2008
By L75INFfrom IDAHO
"Excellent optics, and reticle system. Well made, with good ergonomics. There is no diopter adjustment for less than good vision, and the eye relief is extremely short. This is not a scope for old eyes or rifles with even moderate recoil. However, it works well on both my AR-15, and my SIG 556.
It's a very good scope for what it was designed for, and it's built like a tank."

"I have the 4x32 TA01. Works awesome with my Bushmaster M4A3 16". I can shoot 1/2 groups at 100 yards with Federal Match or Hornady 55gr vmax ammo. Its awesome for open eye target aquisition. Very accurate at 400 yards, can put lead on target fast. Worth every penny."

Marine DM ACOG,August 7, 2007
By StayLowfrom San Diego, CA from Oklahoma City
"I have used this on an M4 and M14. It was overall great but it's nothing I would use for hunting unless you were in a bunch of brush or heavly wooded area. Nothing that you would be able to take a shot over 75-100 max. Once this is sighted in (BZO) there is no problems hitting your target. There are better optics other there for the price."

Trijicon TA-31 DOC Optical Sight,February 19, 2007
By ScentFreefrom Green Mountains of Vermont
"I have owned this sight now for 6 months, and would like to highlight my findings. This is the 3rd Trijicon sight I have owned, and it is by far, my favorite optic. The reticle has a range finder built into the pattern, based on a 55 grain bullet, out of a 20 inch M16/AR15 barrel. This allows you to hit targets out to 800 yards, without guessing bullet drop. The reticle is illuminated red and is very crisp. It uses no batteries to remain illuminated. The light comes from Tritium gas, and also uses fiber optics to gather more light. What this does, is allows the reticle to change levels of illumination based on the environments light conditions. When the optic is in low light, the reticle is a mild red, so you can still see your target well in the low light. Many other optic need the user to control the light level in low light, so it is not too bright. Then, when the optic is used in bright sunlight, the illumination is helped by the fiber optics, and it becomes very bright. You really couldn't ask for a better system. Another huge plus is the design. The exterior is a mil-spec dry-lube coating that will withstand anything you can throw at it. This has passed all the current US Military testing, including the nasty salt spray test, and deep freeze testing without any issues. I also put mine in the freezer and removed without any internal foging (great test of quality). Lens material and coating is top notch. The main optic is 4x, and the DOC sight on top, is zero magnification.
I would put the quality of this scope over anything on the market now.
Last BUT not least.... The Doctor Optic (DOC) sight on the top is wonderful for CQB and fast shot placement. It uses a small red/orange dot, with zero magnification, and also adjusts based on the environments light. This little guy is rugged. The housing is metal, and the lens is rounded like your eye. This helps reduce glare, and makes the sight optically correct for human eyes. The sight has no switches like the main unit, but does use a small battery which will last 5 year if left on the entire time. Included is a small cover for the DOC that will reduce battery drain, and the Trijicon optic comes with a neoprene scope coat and hard case unless something has changed in the packaging. Add to that the Trijicon customer service along with Cabela's customer service and you have nothing to be concerned with looking foraward.
Trijicon Acog....Buy it once, Buy it for life!! Remember, there is a reason why the US military started buying these $1500 scopes when they were released this year."

"This scope absolutely performs as advertised. I own the 3.5 power model and have it mounted on an AR-15. Easy both eyes open target aquisition and tough as nails. Would recommend it highly. If you don't need magnification, would recommend a Holosight as you can get four from Bushnell for the price of one of these with the same ruggedness."
