Good And Bad,January 21, 2010
By dirtmonkfrom Berkeley, CA
"I work at a nursery, spending everyday, all day outside. I got these to work in during the rainy season and certain projects. Having destroyed both the cheap-os and more premium rain pants in one winter, I knew I was taking a gamble with these price-wise. Got a chance to wear them through a good rain storm, unloading and moving plants. Sizing: I'm 6'-2" 190 34" waist. The reg. XL was perfect. Long enough to cover my boots even when kneeling. Roomy enough for a base layer and a pair of pants. Waterproof-ness: fine. Gore Tex is the Best. I did notice that after a few days they kinda had that soggy look to the front of the thighs, but were totally dry inside. The shell is lightweight but seem to be able to take some light abuse. Features: Get the suspenders if you plan on doing anything active to very active. Drawstring isn't enough. WHY I only gave 'em 3 stars!: Couple of issues with the lining. First, the outer shell is thick enough. The inner lining is a bit much for the very breathable shell. Was sweating the instant I started a little shoveling. And it was about 40deg. A light mesh lining would have been perfect. Or no lining at all. Next, after two weeks of wear the lining seemed to sag down at the ankles. Almost to the point of coming out past the cuffs. Will have to keep an eye on this. Might recommend these to a friend who works up in Seattle. Colder up there!"

The best rain pant or overall pant,December 7, 2009
By snowflake212from Upstate NY
"I love these pants. I am a nurserywoman and grow trees along with landscape work. I wear these pants over my regular pants all year around. They are great to work in when the weather is rainy and I have to work in the mud. In the summer, I still wear them while doing work in which I don't want to get dirty. I don't get hot in them at all. These also work well when it is windy during late fall or spring. They still keep me warm. I have given them to my workers to wear. They all love them too. I will never be without another pair. Each time I see them on sale, I buy another pair to keep them in stock in case I rip a pair."

Awesome Product,September 1, 2009
By SaskFisherman
"I am a big guy 6'4'' 325lbs, and I can never find rain pants to fit me for one the lenght and also for width. These pants fit me perfectly and on a recent trip I fell in love with them. Usually when I fish I always needed to fish in shorts because of my size. Now that i have these pants I was able to keep dry and my legs clean of northern pike slime from the fish. Awesome product Cabelas!"

Cabela's GORE-TEX® EXV™ Pants - Regular - Review,August 18, 2009
By SixthGearfrom On the Coast of S.C.
"I read plenty of reviews which said to order a size larger....well, I did and they are WAY to big! I even tried them on with a pair of fleece wader liners and a pair of Carharts on and they are still WAY to big. I am 5'10', weigh 160 lbs and normally wear a 33/30 in pants. So, basically....a size up (XL) is WAY to big for someone of my build. Order a Large if you are built like me 0 that's the only way I would recommend this product."

Gor-tex Rain Pant,June 30, 2009

"Pant is comfortable and waterproof. The only concern is the sizing. I had read reviews and comments about the size being smaller than usual. Consequently, I ordered a larger size than normal and they fit fine."

Review 14 for Cabela's GORE-TEX® EXV™ Pants – Regular
"Great product. I use them mostly for fishing purposes, but I've also had them out clearing the driveway of snow. Together with the parka, a fleece, and my fishing boots made a usually wet and dreary task into a dry experience. I won't say the shoveling was enjoyable, but I was certainly dry."

gore tex pants,October 23, 2008
By jlenfrom Connecticut
"I am happy with the products effectiveness but am dissapointed with the sizing. I ordered the largest size available for cold weather use so I could get long johns and heavy jeans under them and they are just not roomy enough to do that. They obviously do not take this into consideration when making this item. Every other gore tex item I purchased fits perfectly, with room to layer up underneath them. The pants, however, do not. I am a bit dissapointed."

Cabelas Gor-tex EXV Pants,June 18, 2008
By turtle92from Pa
"This is respectfully the same product as the Parka, which I absolutely loved, but!!! The cut of these pants are not anywhere close to what they should be. I reed the reveiws before I purchased my pair and I moved up 2 sizes, just to be disappointed when they arrived. I must say to You at Cabelas, PLEASE, PLEASE, correct this, You have a very good product except for the undersized cut of the pants."

Sizing Problem,June 18, 2008
By BigDaddy56
"I should have listened to the other reviews I saw here. The sizing on these is rediculous. After reading the other reviews which reflect the same problem I ordered the 5X when I usually wear a 3X. When I got them they were sized about like a 2X usually is. I will say that Cabela's was very good about taking them back and returning my money. I went in the store in Owatonna as I was on the way to a fishing trip to Canada but they do not carry these sizes in stock so I went without and will have to order something else online, if I can find it."

EXV pants and parka,May 4, 2008
By Anonymousfrom LaGrange, KY
"The pants and parka are a comfortable fit with enough elbow room to move around in. They are heavy weight enough to hold up on hikes thru brush and undergrowth. The pants come with suspender buttons but so far I have not required the optional suspenders as they stay in place even during a long hike. Pant leg straps and multiple position buttons help keep the pants from flapping. Enough room to slip over shoes, but difficult to put on over hiking boots. Would like to see waterproof zippers on the side. Overall a good investment in rainwear for someone wanting to get good performance and give up some the lightweight feature of the Rainy River gear."
