"I love the bright orange color which helps me with strike detection. For the money it can't be beat. I have used all the name brand lines over the last 30 years and from now on this will be my floating line on all of my reels. This line is a real value in a world where flyline is approaching the $100 mark. Like all Cabela's products it's first rate quality."

"I appears that the "tag" showing which end of the line should be attached to the backing is incorrect... this, until you correct it, leads you to hate the way your line casts !This has happened on 2 lines.
If you did it correctly, the rating would be 5 stars."

"We were looking for a resonably priced 2 wt. fly line for my wife's newest fly outfit. We have used other Prestige lines in 3, 4, 5, 8 wt and have been pleased with them all. Finding a 2 that was easy to cast and decent in price was a challenge, but this line fit all that she wanted."

"I was very pleased with the price and quality of the 3 wt fly line. It is very limp and cast well. The formed eye needed to be cut and replaced with a pre-made eye because it separated after a few casts. But other than tha,t this is a winner a 1/2 the cost of more expensive flloating fly lines"

"I bought the 3-weight to go with my first ultra light setup. It has a tendency to sink after picking up debris from the water, (they all do unless they have one of the new high tech coatings) so it does require a little maintenance. I really like the welded loop and color coding. With premium lines approaching the 100 dollar mark, this is a great deal!"

"Awesome line. Superb performance and it casts like lines costing twice the price. The leader loop on the end is a great addition. Being it is new I don't know how long it will last, I fish for salmon and steelhead in Western Washington Rivers but even if it only makes it a year, it is a superb line for a superb price."

"I purchased this line and immediately paired it up with Cabelas backing. The line shoots pretty good and I can see the line very well. I recommend it with a 9 ft knotless leader.
The line may not be as good as some high end line, so buyer beware. It is great for the money, but may disappoint some of the experts with a stiffness as it slides through the guides."

What's up with this line?,

"I purchased a 6 wt Prestige line for my new custom built fly rod. I had an identical line on my 7 year old Loomis GL3 and found that line to be great. The new line cast as though it were coated with glue. I struggled with it for 2 days on the Yellowstone river and finally threw in the towel. Before doing so, I exchanged an alternate 6 wt. line on the new rod and found it to cast like a dream. The new Prestige line dragged through the guides and whistled annoyingly. I spent the rest of the trip hauling in 18-20 inch cutthroat on my old 4 wt. GL3 with the 7 year old Prestige line, which casts as good as new. So what's the deal with the Prestige line I purchased this year? My brother suggested I buy a kit to clean and condition the line. Is that necessary when it's new, just out of the box?"
