tiny but amazing,July 9, 2009
By brandonthefishermanfrom Wisconsin,WI
"I just purchased this lure today hopping to put a couple nice bluegills on my frying pan. The third cast when i got a hit i set the hook and to my astonishment their was a 14'' crappie on the end of my line. i would of Gaven this lure 5 stars all the way but after that one fish the minnow started to rip in half. a quick fix with a little super glue and it looked like new."

Crappie Killer,June 16, 2009
By kennyb99from OK
"I have been slaying the post spawn crappie over brush with these little chatterbaits. The plastic only made it through about 16 fish. Wish they supplied more than 1 extra body with the lure"

chatterbait trout panfish,April 21, 2009
By actionmikefrom missouri
"seems ok so far. I have caught a dozen or so Crappie the first time out. They might be pushing the whole chatterbait thing a bit with the smallest size, but they do have a decent action."

Almost perfect evening of fishing.,April 20, 2009
By SKYY3from Minneapolis, MN
The swimming action of this lure is very realistic and works on a wide variety of fish.
It was just after the sun went down, still a bit of light left in the sky, but no direct sunlight. It was my first time fishing with this lure, and on the second cast, I saw a huge shadow in the water swallow the lure. I set the hook and the battle began. In the park next to the lake I was fishing, passersby were beginning to crowd behind me to watch the struggle. Because I was worried about the strength of the lure against a large fish, I set my drag low and I fought the fish for almost 10 minutes. Everyone was amazed when I finally got the monster to the edge of the water. I was glad the lure actually held together. I had won the battle against a bowfin (dogfish), easily 10 pounds in weight. Then before I could get a handle on the fish, it gave one final whip of the tail and the hook broke off.
I would give this lure a 5-star rating, but the lure isn't very strong and my first fish on this lure broke the hook. I'm surprised the hook broke before the blade did. If Chatterbait found a way to strengthen the lure to make it more resilient, then it would definitely get a 5-star rating."

THIS BAIT ROCKS!!!,March 28, 2009
By BassTerminatorfrom Northwestern PA
"I used it at a local pond with terrific results. I caught 40 some bass with it. The only thing is that the soft plastic minnow tends to wears out quick. It is no problem though because it comes with a spare body. I was using the silver/blue model in 1/8th of an ounce size. This bait is a must for anyone who wants to catch fish. IT DRIVES BASS CRAZY!!!"

"I haven't actually got a chance to use these lures, the ice here is too thin to walk on but too thick to get a boat out, however from what I know of crappie fishing I can't wait to try them they look great in the fish tank!!"

1/16 oz trout/panfish chatterbait,July 16, 2007
By jojolancefrom Rio, WI
"THESE WORK GREAT MY #1 bait right now is the 1/16 gold. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the plastic minnows are NOT very durable. They have a tendancy to split down the middle due to the way they're made. I REPLACED it with a pearl grub. The HOOK needs sharpening, but once that's done you will have good fishing. In two days of testing on a north wisconsin lake, I caught 2 perch, 2 walleye, 13 crappie, 1 smallmouth, and 3 medium pike. I don't know what they see in this, but it works. If it wasn't for the tweaking, I'd give it five stars. JL from the northwoods"

Blue/ Gold Minnow Tail,July 5, 2007
By gifa01
"Tried this one out on a hot sunny afternoon in a small privately stocked pond... was able to navigate the lure around lilypads and whatnot. The panfish and bass were literally flying out of the water upon strike.
I had to replace this lure after the first day because a big (26"), fat channel cat hit it and snapped my line after it thrashed out of my hands and off the dock while I was trying to unhook it. I was not expecting to catch catfish that day, so the problem was my line(and catfish handling coordination), not the lure.
Aside from the catfish, this lure has produced similar luck with panfish and bass since."

The ChatterBait works!,May 30, 2007
By StumpMasterfrom Osprey, FL.
"I purchased a few of these to add to my arsenal of ultralight baits. I tried the 1/16 oz in the silver and they did catch some fish. In fact on a few trips they were the top producer. I took a Fisheries Biologist to one of his managed lakes and within a short time I had him using my ultralight with these great lures and he would not put it down. Bass, Bluegill, Speckled Perch, and Tilapia would not leave it alone. His fun ended when the last of my lures was broken off by a big fish that ran out the 4lb test and made it to the bullrushes. I like the curly tail and replace them with similar tails but both types of tails included worked."

Good Lure,May 11, 2007
By SimplyFishingfrom Chicago
"Ive caught dozens of bass on this lure from a local farm pond. The hook needs sharpenign out of the box, but other than that the lure works great. You get the same vibration pattern as the origional chatterbait. The rubber body on mine is starting to tear, but thats only because Im catching so many fish!"

Unlike the originals,January 28, 2007
By Fireflyfrom Holland, MI
"Product is poorly manufactured, debris in the chrome plating, plated hook point was dull as I have ever seen a hook. Trailer was not on straight and split due to poor quality of trailer as well. package says made in China, I hope the rest of the chatterbait family is not heading this way. Never even got to use the baits, too much wrong to try and fix it to use, went right out of the box into the trash."
