Makes judging distances out to 500 yards quick and easy. Just zero the riflescope for proper point of
impact at 100 yards and use the reference circles to determine point of aim. Reference circles indicate 18"
circles (the approximate size of the chest cavity of deer, antelope, bear and other big game) at the proper
yardage for optimum accuracy. No other in-the-field range adjustments. Reticles enlarge as magnification
power is increased to maintain accuracy. We've improved our already excellent design by equipping the
scope with our new side-focus feature that lets you keep the target in view while you quickly adjust
parallax for an optimal sight picture at a given range. We also added fast-focus capability to provide
crystal clear detail with minimal time and effort. The result is detailed imagery in your field-of-view at all
reasonable hunting ranges. These scopes are rugged, weatherproof, fogproof, tested in the harshest of
hunting conditions and have high-quality optics. 1" tube diameter.

This scope does everything it's advertised to!,December 26, 2008
By KFlinkIIfrom Colorado
"I bought this scope four years ago and have made several 400+ yard shots with it. The great magnification makes it so easy to use and very accurate. The first time I used it I was on a 5 pt bull Elk I estimated the range with the scope at 350+ yards and my friend used his laser rangefinder to say it was 376 yards. I hit right where I held. This year I made my longest shot ever on an antelope facing me at 535 paces, I just used the 500 yard ring for the distance then slid the crosshair on him and tipped him over."

setup for scope,November 18, 2008
By Montana98from Rural Montana
"I purchased this scope mainly for the parallax correction. However there are no instructions concerning this portion of the scope.
First thing is to focus the recticle against a blank wall or the sky... Then you can get the correct parallax correction using the side focus.. Some how this is not described in the instructions,, however once completed the system works fine.
As for all the circles and lines seems a bit cluttered, but have not tried it either at the range or hunting.... Here again mostly concerned about the parallax correction for long range shooting."

Nothing else is better than this!,September 5, 2008
By Fainermoofrom Wyoming Wilderness
"I received my Cabela's Alaskan Guide Scope with the Range finding rings two days after I ordered it. The quality of the matirials used to make this scope is par excellent! I was at first a little intimidated about using it, but the directions were simple and easy to understand. After mounting it on my .243 WIN sight in was simple and easier than I anticipated. As to the accuracy of the range finding rings they were deasd on at the gun range, and now for the field. Following the directions that came with this scope I settled the 500 yard ring for a heart shot on an adult pronghorn, I sqeezed off a 100 grain Winchester Power Point, it hissed all the way down range terminating with a loud "SMACK"! Dressing out my trophy I found the heart, only half remained! A dead on 500 yard heart shot! After a couple of years of shooting with this scope, such shots are the norm! If you don't own one, get one! It'll be the only scope you'll ever use!"

"The Alaskan Guide Rangefinding Riflescope is and excellant product . use to have a standard 3 X 9 power scope and it was no match for the accurasea of your scope for long range shots , what most of my shooting consist of , on opening morning of the 2007 hunt I was sitting in my vehicle awaiting a good shot ( I'm a handicap hunter ) thats why I was sitting in my Vehicle when out of the corner of my eye I seen this big buck running up the hill and by the time I got out of the truck it was over the second fence running down hill , I set my shooting stick up that I had also bought from you last year to rest my weapon to steady my shot and well over 200 yds running down hill dropped it with one shot , If you want I could send you a picture of the Buck with the rifle and scope laying thru its horns it was a nine point altho not the biggest I got that opening morning , I had shot and eight pointer about 2 hours later a bigger deer in body and horns than the nine pointer the 8 pointer had a 18" spread and was a 60 yd shot just walking a long but one shot and the 9 pointer had a 17 1 / 2 " spread but a very nice deer .It was your scope that made it all possible. I was hunting in Grant County , in rolling Farm land , hilly country ."

Alaskan Guide WV White Tail Hunt Success,July 26, 2007
By DINMANfrom Parkersburg, WV
"I purchased the 4.5 * 14 model at the Wheeling, WV Cabela's in August of 2006. I mounted the scope on a Brwng Abolt 300Win Mag. The scope functioned flawlessly. The images were bright, crisp, and clear. I was able to bag my limit of dear that season, including a 300yd shot on a nice buck. I purchased another Alaskan Guide Scope for the farmer who allows me to hunt on his property as a Christmas present last year."
