"I bought the 1850 model and used it several time without problems. I accidently dropped it on the river recently and the outer rim of the spool bent causing the reel to catch. Had to order a replacement reel. The reel is nice but a little fragile for my type of fishing."

"I bought this real to go with the sage FLi 9 ft 7 wt rod I purchased for a steelhead trip in New York. The rod and reel are perfectly balanced together. The reel performed beyond my expectations. The drag is super smooth and stood up to many a line-peeling run from those hard charging steelies. The drag is also easy to adjust on a moments notice. This reel offers great performace at a great price. I would recommend the reel to anyone."
