"I use this for the offshore Gulf of Mexico fish, such as kingmackeral, wahoo, snapper, spanish mackeral and many other species, to prevent serious injuries and for the security of knowing that the danger is a distance from anyone! I highly recommend them to any serious angler dealing with sharp teeth or sharp gill plates. It is also great for catch and release practices. You don't have to stress the fish by bringing them out of the water. It is quicker and easier than getting the loop gaff around the tail and lifting the fish out of the water,then try to remove the hook! My first choice! Thanks, Ron"

"We do a lot of sturgeon fishing on the Columbia and Willemette Rivers in the Northwest. In a good day sturgeon fishing, I can catch 20 to 25 fish (most are under the 42", or over the 60" limit). Using the ARC dehooker saves a lot of time and effort and minimizes the stress induced on a hooked sturgeon. I can bring the fish right up to the boat and then release them without any contact to the fish, and the sturgeon never leaves the water. The ARC dehooker is hade of heavy metal rod and has a stout handle to maintain control of the release. The handle is easy to twist on and off your line, and it will still be in your hand after you unhook that eight foot sturgeon."

"Purchased the Arc Dehooker to release toothy game fish without bringing them into the boat. Targeting stripers, but hooking large bluefish, the dehooker enabled us to release these alligators with little damage to the fish. Took a little practice to get the knack of release.
