"To fix the problem I hear from some of you about the weight. There is no need to tie it on just simply tie a small not at the end of your line and slide it on. That should fix the problem, that's the way I've always done it and it works. Keep on fishing....."

If you love to dropshot, this is the weight to use,November 3, 2008

"I fell in love with dropshot before it was dropshot (Saltwater rig when you put the weight on the bottom and tie a hook on main line when in a hurry or poor). I now use the right equipment and dropshot at tournaments and pleasure fishing to get a limit in the boat quickly, it is fun fishing since it is normally using light gear then I can go after Toads and replace anything small. BTW dropshot is not a small fish technique only. These weights are the best on the market bar none. They are compact and do not hang up much, but when it happens it breaks your heart because of the price. But to lose a weight, keep fishing and it feels so good is really a small price to pay. The only down size is the line noose is too open, that is fixed with a quick pinch. I tried tons of different dropshot weights and they are still in my tackle box. When I am low I start sweating it and go out to purchase more River2Sea Tungsten Skinny Drop Shot Weights . An ole Angler friend told me your dropshot weight should not be much bigger than your hook and I am sold on that word of wisdom."

"Excellent bottom feel while dropshotting. Slim design minimizes hangups. Tungsten reduces size relative to weight compared to lead, so the splash when the weight hits the water is minimized for finesse fishing. Worth every cent!"

"Totally excellent they match just perfect with the standout hooks I use. It seems that I get less line twist with them, a great swivel on them. I do open the eye a bit for tieing the line. The best is they don't seem to bother the Perch I am after. You should try it."

"Drop shotting plain works. I wanted to try out these and bought a few packs. They are very sensative and I love the cylindrical shape. The only downside I see to these is the clasp for your line is pretty big and will not hold 6 lb flouro, which means you have to tie it on. Most weights I have used just fit on the line by compression."
