Gulp Swimming Mullet,September 29, 2009
By Robin4854from Sunset Harbor, Lockwoods Folly River, North Caroli
"Okay Flounder Fishermen......how many times have you missed a nice flounder because you should have waited one more week before setting the hook with live bait? With the Gulp bait....when you feel a strike....snatch his lips off as he has already inhaled the lure!!! I catch more fish off of Gulp than live bait and rarely even bother with catching minnows anymore. How many times have we all fell for some new improved deer lure or supplament that is suppose to bring deer from neighboring properties as they will be strung out on the stuff. This product says it works better than live bait and you can believe it! The 4", Rootbeer, Chartruse, and Glow, are hard to beat for Flounder and you should also try the 4" Gulp Pogy in Smelt color which is my favorite in October. The only drawback on the swimming mullet is trash fish like them too and tend to bite the tails off making them useless and making you go through a pack of them in no time. Try Gulp and you will be hooked!!! LOL"

Hot Rods,January 1, 2009
By MRCONGfrom East Orange, N.J.
"During this past summer, the Gulp swimming mullet was pro-bably the #1 most effective bait and lure (when teamed with the Spro jig ) to be used along the New Jersey shore, bar none. When used in the surf , piers, and jetties, I consistantly outfished others using everything else. On every occassion while fishing, someone would approach me to ask what I was using, in that my rod was bent from a fish while others were almost asleep in the sun. One older gentleman asked why my rod was so hot, and if he could purchase from me what I was using. He was given a spro jig and some swimming mullets, the cost to him was nothing more than our conversation. He baited up, and a good time fishing was had by both of us. This scene was repeated many times on the Keansburg Pier during the Summer of '08, and though I gave away many a jig/ mullet combination, I was much the richer for the experience and the many friends ( and lure converts ) I made."

Bass Slammer!,December 30, 2008
By raffman55from San Diego, California
"I fish from a kayak in San Diego Bay and this is my go to bait for Spotted Bay Bass. Pumpkinseed, Chartreuse, and Motor Oil are the go to colors along with 3/8 jigheads in Neon, Yellow , and Red. Killer bass setup. I've had several 30+ days using these and would highly reccomend them to anyone fishing coastal waters."

Berkley Gulp Swimming Minnow 4 inches,July 21, 2008
By ccc65from va
"I've been very successful using the Chartreuse for flounders in the Chesapeake Bay. As matter of fact, I caught the largest flounder ever with it. I use a simple Carolina rig with about a 12 to 18 inch leader and drift in my kayak. The hook is a plain hook with no weight on it. have ordered white and other colors to see if they are as good. Other fish besides the flounder also attack the bait. I've caught sea trouts and sea mullet (Round heads) on them as well."

Great soft bait,July 17, 2008
By USMEaglefrom Ocean Springs, MS
"Fishing off a short dock in Ocean Springs, MS under a light. Specs wouldn't touch live bait or anything until we started using the Gulp white swimming mullet. Landed 3 spec's and a sandy on the same lure. It gets a lot of attention while swimming."

Not much action,March 31, 2008
By jrfans
"I've used these a couple times. I am not impressed with the action, well it is a lack of action all together. The baits just float through the water without the tail fluttering."

Berkely gulp,December 25, 2007
By Dukeofflukefrom Sandy Hook, NJ
"This product is simply incredible. I had so many times this outproduced any other bait on the boat. Killer for fluke as well as weakfish in the nj area. The takle shops cant keep them on the shelves. If you can get them chartruese or white are the best colors but some guys swear by bubblegum. In the shark river you can see fish hit them with clear water. Had a keeper fluke chase it and hit it four or five times right under the boat. Even catch fluke on deadsticked baits but jigging is preferable."

gulp review,August 28, 2007
By SMC51from Monroeville, Al.
"I have fished these and found them to be very effective. I purchased two different colors, and the red ones were very stiff and not of much use. These were swim tail grubs and the red ones were so stiff that the swim tail did not work. I would suggest these baits, but just not in the red color. It may have been the dye that caused this grub to get stiff, but the other colors are fine."

Berkley Gulp,August 27, 2007
By MattressDavefrom Bethany Beach Delaware
"I have been using Gulp for the past 2 years primarily for flounder at Indian River Inlet, Delaware. I am consistantly outcatching anglers using live or cut bait. I have also fished Gulp at South Padre Island, TX. and Hatteras, NC as well. I burned Specs & Redfish with Gulp shrimp white & new penny.
Gulp is magic!"

Works on walleye,July 31, 2007
By Dukshooterfrom Kansas
"I didn't realize these were "Saltwater". I use them for walleye on jigs, and they work pretty well so you don't have to mess with tipping the jig with live bait. For some reason, the channel cats annihiliate the saltwater Gulp much more than the freshwater Gulp. Both kinds seem to be equally effective on walleye. It's nice to not have to worry about keeping nightcrawlers cool all day. I've used them side-by-side, and I catch at least as many walleye on the Gulp as I do on the traditional jig/crawler. I would recommend Gulp to anybody that fishes for walleye with jigs."

berkleys gulp,November 23, 2006
By fishalotfrom West central florida
"I am a fishing guide in west central florida, and I am amazed at the response by the fish of this bait. Both redfish and trout strike the berkley gulp after totally ignoring other baits, including live shrimp. This product is unbelievable."
