Like the original, the GORE-TEX Perfomance Shell jacket is constructed of Cabela's-exclusive, 500-denier Guidewear fabric backed by a GORE-TEX membrane for waterproof, breathable protection you can count on in the wettest conditions. A warm layer of Thinsulate? Insulation acts to retain body heat within the bibs. The long front-entry zipper allows easy on and off and ventilation. Half-leg zippers make them easy to pull on over shoes. Reinforced knees and seat protect these high-wear areas from abrasion. D-ring accessory attachments. Two bellows pockets. Adjustable cuffs. "Got these a bit ago and really like them. They are well made and as advertised. They are warm and dry in the limited use I put them through so far. I work and play outdoors and needed something for winter that can be taken off and on easily. One thing I don't like is the lack of hand warmer pockets. Other is that I have a 32" inseam so I figured I best get the Talls. Definitely too Tall in my case!"

Waterproof & Warm, October 19, 2009

"I purchased the bibs for a 2300 mile motorcycle trip this fall. Fit - I am 6'2" and usually purchase pants with a 34 or 36" inseam. The XL tall fit great over jeans and fleece overshirt. I was able to keep the tops of my boots covered while on the motorcycle. Deep chest and knee length zips made for easy on and off.
Materials - No leaks! The waterproof zipper was new to me but performed flawlessly. Rode in driving rain at highway speeds with no leaks at the seems or zippers. Morning temps in 40's were easy to take.

"I purchased these bibs about five years ago. I use them snowmobiling and for ice fishing. These are the only pants that have not wet through on the seat while snowmobiling all day. I have been ice fishing in below zero temps with wind and stayed warm. These bibs are a must for anybody that spends time outdoors in extreme cold temps. They are well worth the money."

Poor fit, November 9, 2007

"Not a big fan of the tapered legs. I sent them back without trying them out in the field so I can't speak to their effectiveness. I found them to be too binding around my boots. Hard to get at them easily."
