"I first used the Chatterbait at Lake Fork in Texas. I was amazed with the results. We not only caught fish, but larger bass with this bait. We were trailing the bait with a five inch Lake Fork swimming minnow, attached with super glue to the chatterbait just behind the jig head of the lure. We caught several bass over 4.0 pounds, up to 7 1/2 pounds. I came back home and used the same setup on a 43 acre farm lake and only changed the swim bait to a shorter 3 1/2 inch length. Same results, I caught 12 bass in 13 casts. Now, I realize I probably was in the right place at the right time, but this bait is as good as the first spinner bait I tied on my line. It is definitely a confidence builder. I used the White in a 3/8 ounce size. I personally think the 3/4 ounce size is too heavy for what I needed. I am so confident in the bait, I ordered ten of them when they went on sale at Cabelas. Anywhere that you have a buffer zone between the bank and moss, or lillypads to run in, I highly reccomend. The bait has a definite thumping sensation,felt in the rod, while running. When the thump stops, hold on. Bass just seem to stop it, not attack it. You will feel your rod load up usually before you feel any bite."

Works Beautifully at Night!,April 22, 2009

"To all who say this lure doesn't work, try a black/blue one at dusk or night with a double tail grub as a trailer (like a black/blue hula grub). You may need to sharpen the hook on this lure with a hook hone, as the hook can be "funny". But once sharpened it is good to go. The skirt on the bait also can slide down on casts, nothing a little dab of crazy glue won't fix.
Regardless of "tune-up" you may want to give this lure (which is why I gave it 4star), after all is done it is a GREAT night time bait. The vibration it gives off is incredible, and I promise you it will catch fish at night/dusk. Make sure you use a doubletail grub as a trailer, and be sure to fish it steady-slow."

"a while back every tv show on the outdoor channel said something about the cahtterbait. i bought one and it didnt catch a thing in my local pond, i went back and bought a smaller chatterbait for crappie. it didnt catch a thing. but i went to smithville lake in missouri. and caught a 2 pound slab. these will catch fish in areas where fishing pressure is at a max.\"

"I tried the frog pattern last summer, and had a lot of success by burning it across the outside edge of lilly pads. It seemed to catch bigger fish by doing this also. Practice catch and release - bass taste terrible anyway...."

"I have used this lure on a number of different outings on lakes where i know the fish are plentiful and willing to bite. despite this, the fish were not willing to bite this lure. However i did have some success with the booyah boogie blade, the chatterbait's quality is not as good as the boogie blade's so i say spend a little more and get the boogie blade"

"My brother-in-law recommended this lure and he works for the competition. He told me that only Cabelas had them left and that he too ordered them from them or bought them when he went by the Dundee store. I cannot say enough about the increased number of fish I am catching. From a 23 inch Large mouth to a 14 inch Crappie and gills. It is incredible and fast action when I place this on the pole. I catch fish when no one else is and despite the weather or temperature!"
