Hot Lure this season, May 28, 2009

"One great weekend and two separate Large Mouth Bass fishing trips in Kansas This swimming jig consistently out performed all other types of lures used. It had the added bonus of slowing the pace of retrieving the really small fish. The first day was in a sand pit with three other seasoned fishermen all using various baits. We found most anything worked but this bait consistently produced larger fish. Second day was 4 hours on a lake then 5 hours in surrounding cattle ponds in a very private fishing lease. Again we found success with virtual every bait and technique used but the Strike King Pure Poison was the only bait that produced fish over 4lbs. Great trip Great bait. I just order some more today. My favorite colors were the Black/Blue and the Bluegill with 1/4oz being the only weight used."

"I have a number of these swim jig/chatterbaits and I've found that once you find the way the fish want it presented (mostly fished just fast enough to vibrate) they just KILL it!! I fished a small ptivate lake this morning and caught 9 largemouths on 11 casts! It Don't Get much better than that! The clear water and the just beautiful weather here in central Texas made this a very cool day! I could see the bass come out of the weed edge and just blow up on the 3/16 oz. they were hitting the larger baits but were not enhaleing them like they were the smaller bait!! VERY COOL!! Strike King has done it again.
P.S. I find very little difference in brands except the price."

"This has been in my tackle box for about 2 years now & I had never used it. About 3 weeks ago I threw it on for the first time & landed a 14" Pickerel on the first cast. The next week I caught a 20" Pickerel on it again on the first cast. I am going to buy some more in different colors."

"strike kings pure poison vibrating swim jigs are fantastic !!
good color, good hook, good vibration.
I fish the california delta and these fish are man eaters....
the huge large mouth bass and stripers here will tear up you lures faster then you can re-tie... these swim jigs hold up nicely !!"

"Does it catch fish?

Yes.

Does it last...

No!

The skirt falls appart and the paint chips off easily. I had one where the blade/chatter fell off the 2nd or 3rd cast.

Get the original chatterbait."

"Bought this lure last summer and it works great. Caught fish on it all spring and summer. Don'tthink that I went a trip that I did not catch something on it. Several 4 to 5 pound smallmouth and largemouth."

"After ten mins of fishing this bait,I had two bites and cought a five pounder.The first bite was a three pounder,which I seen when he swiped at the bait but missed.I have cought many fish on this bait since then and only have had one problem with this bait,the skirt needs to be untangled every five casts or so.But overall,I love it more than the rest of the Chatters."
