Pearl White Gulp Shrimp,October 1, 2009
By Quasfrom Gonzales, LA
"Gulp shrimp work very well in the areas I fish. I fish from a kayak so there is minimal room for a lot of gear, these always make the cut! Caught a 38.5" Bull Redfish by just tossing it out and letting it sit on the bottom while fishing with another rod. Just to give a heads up, the catfish LOVE them just as much as bait shrimp."

They Bite And Don't Let Go!,May 6, 2009
By gtgericfrom Sarasota Fl
"I've been using the gulp shrimp now for about 6 months. I fish the flats and inland waters, and I can tell you this bait is far superior to any artificial bait I've ever used. In addition, in my opinion, it's even better than live shrimp. Seems as though I catch more fish, and the bait is really durable...much more durable than a live shrimp. Even after chunks of bait are missing (from ravenous trout and mangrove snapper) fish will continue to attack the bait. I'm sold on gulp shrimp.
Recently I caught a small grouper (5lbs) with a gulp shrimp. When I got him to the boat I reached for my dehooker. As I positioned the grouper for unhooking I realized the grouper didn't have the hook in his mouth...he was hanging on to the shrimp by the end of it's tail! This would have made the perfect "Fish Bite And Don't Let Go" TV commericial!"

surprised,June 25, 2008
By FishFanaticfrom manchester,CT
"I read reviews on this shrimp and the day before i went on a saltwater fishing trip in new jersey i picked up 2 bags in the natural color because thats all that was available. My friend and i had been fishing for about an hour with no luck with other baits so i put on a shripm an a fluke rig, as did he and about 10 minutes after casting the lure i had a 18 inch fluke, 3 minuetes later he had a 14 inch blue fish, the only two fish of the trip (we were fishing from shore) I am convinced that the sauce they come in attracks the fish but would buy a different color for future trips"

Its pretty good,June 14, 2008
By binkyfrom FL
"I use this to catch trout or reds, but live pin fish cut bait is the best. Some times the gulp is better than cut bait but it is expensive. It can be much easier to put on the hook. It works the best with a red head hook. I really like it. You can even use it to catch pin fish too."

Gulp Shrimp,October 31, 2007
By BF8860from Illinois
"Although I did get more hits on live shrimp I caught just as many on the gulp. They are much more tough than the real thing and I caught several lady fish on a single bait. I used them in Flordia on the gulf coast in the surf."

Can't get enough of your love,July 14, 2007
By troutmasterjaxfrom Jacksonville, FL
"I just returned from a night trip on the Intracoastal Canal near Jacksonville, Florida where my son and I grew to appreciate the value of this emarkable bait. I fish plastics 99% of the time. However I was taking my son last night that had not fished with me in years. We spent the first hour of the night securing live shrimp with a cast net. Early into the night the flounder and trout were eating our Gulp 3" shrimp like candy. We caught EVERYTHING last night on GULP New Penny Shrimp. One trick I employ that I have not seen mentioned anywhere is that I take scissors and split the tails fron the end to the thick section of the body. In my pool this proved to add a very desirable flutter as the bait falls."

Gulps!,June 29, 2007
By FetchUpfrom Angleton, Tx
"Have had great success with bait on redfish, flounder and specks. The molting color is the only one I didnt get near as many strikes on. Slow popping action garnered 6 reds and 4 flounder, biggest flounder was 22.5"!! When worked fast with a light leadhead or under a popping cork we had 3 limits of trout!! Fish catching ability is definantly 5 STARS!! Durability on the other hand is only about 3 stars at best. Good luck!!"

"Using the Gulp shrimp under a popping cork of any kind will catch Speckled Trout. With a light 1/4 oz or lighter jig head worked slowly will produce Redfish."

Berkley Gulp shrimp,November 21, 2006
By CajunTarheel
"Have caught Redfish, flounder, Speckled Trout, croaker, drum, all on the same baits. I have found that the white and the new penny to be the best colors here. The white is softer and the pinfish eat the tails off quickly."
"Better then Live bait for back bay fishing for flounder.
Can store in Tackle Box for ease and convience."

Berkely Gulp 3" shrimp,November 21, 2006
By RHTFISHfrom live SW Georgia and fish coastal Florida panhandle
"Fishing plastics is nothing new since the 1960s. Like most serious fisherman I have tried most of them and have boxes and boxes full of those that enticed me but didn't produce. My fishing centers on speckled trout and redfish inshore. Until Gulp shrimps I carried a special tackle box containing at least 15 different plastics in varied colors. Sincle using Gulp Shrimp I've been trying to trade all my other plastics to someone for a few bags of Gulps. The 3" is a perfect size for basic jigging and fishing under a cork or popper. My favorite colors are pearl and new penny. THEY WORK! I've never seen a bait consistently draw so many strikes. Compared to live shrimp there are several advantages: comparable costs, easy storage, no need for aeration, durability, etc. If there is a disadvantage I would have to say I don't find the thought of eating the leftovers very appealing, compared to live shrimp."

redfish,November 20, 2006
By Rosiefrom Argenta, Il.
"The 3 inch Gulp shrimp has become my main bait of choice for Redfish. I no longer have to buy and maintain live shrimp to have the same success as I have had in my 30 years of saltwater fishing. The scent and durability of the Gulp bait is outstanding. The occasional snook on the bait is an added bonus."
