lot of fun,September 1, 2009
By brianufrom washingtonville, ny
"a lot of fun, highly recomended. the wire going to the lazer sight to turn it on is poorly made and cracked... but when i was using it it was less accurate anyways. accurate at a higher rate than any co2 pistols ive used for what i would consider a good distance for a pistol. better velocity than i expected, i didnt think it would live up to its claims but it will go through a bottle filled with water on both sides from about 60 feet without a problem. a lot of fun, although its a single shot once your used to it you can shoot a lot quicker than a pump bb rifle. highly recomended for cheap fun"

NO!!!!!!,June 14, 2009
By squirrelhunter135712
"DO NOT BUY!
When I saw this gun on sale I thought that I would get a great gun at a modest price. I bought it and when I got home to shoot it I was very impressed. After approximately 80 shots I noticed that it wasn't firing at its normal velocity. I thoroughly checked the gun over and upon finding no visible damage to it. I kept firing only to have the same result every time I shot. Finally I noticed that there was a hissing sound coming out of it every time that I pumped it. The gun was letting loose pressure every time that I cocked it. I would highly recommend that you do NOT buy this product."

Good for a while,June 9, 2009
By Lookelsewherefrom Virginia
"I bought this air pistol and enjoyed it very much for a couple of months. It was accurate and while others mentioned a difficulty in loading I was able to load with few issues. However the pistol will no longer hold air pressure. I noticed this remark when researching various air pistols but it wasn't mentioned that often so I thought it was a fluke. It's not. If you want a non-CO2 air pistol look elsewhere."

Beeman 2006 Pistol,May 18, 2009
By Hegshenfrom Atlanta, GA
"Initially the gun shot well....415fps c/ crosman premiers. After only a 100 shots or so, the gun started to leak. It continued to worsen to the point that it was non functional. The internal components are made of soft aluminum and there is only one rubber o-ring seal in the piston. I think over time, the soft aluminum began to get worn down and no longer sealed. If the piston and cylinder were made with 2 o-rings and the aluminum was replaced with steel, the gun would probably be decent. The red dot site is worthless. The gun is not worth the money unless you want to pay for one day's use. Save your bills and buy something else."

beeman air pistol,May 5, 2009
By jabefrom redlands, ca.
"i am very happy with my purchase. the pistols are easy to use, and once you dial in the red dot, they are very accurate. an excellent beginners tool. i do think the strength to cock the gun would make it a little more difficult for young people. over all, great value for the money."

One pump pistol,April 9, 2009
By Bozo808from Maui, Hawaii
"a real deal. i actually got this for my 12 yr old. it was hard for him to pump it as its kind hard for a boy his age however, once he got the hang of it, i couldnt stop him. initially we couldnt hit a target as we didnt know where the pellet was going. once we shot against a dirt bank, we could see where the pellet hit and was able to 'zero' it in. it them became quite accurate. again, a real deal for the price."

Solid Buy,March 9, 2009
By hillviewhunterfrom Rochester, MN
"Fun little air pistol with plenty of power to take of the squirrel problem around my deer stands. Red dot sight is pretty lame, but the iron sights are fully adjustable and work just fine. Only downfall is that it's a little tough to load, impossible with gloves on."

Beeman P17,March 8, 2009
By JavaGonzofrom SE Wisconsin
"I found this airgun in the Bargain Cave and was hesitant based on reviews read here. So far this little pistol is a sure shot. As others have mentioned, the red dot sight is more a nuisance than a help. While only a single-shot, and with slightly less heft than hoped for this pistol provides fun, clean accuracy, and great opportunities to teach safety, marksmanship, and gun care. It does take a firm force to close the action and small hands to load the pellet but otherwise, it was and is a bargain."

OK,February 23, 2009
By perrellofrom lancaster, NY
"This pistol is cheap, but is good quality. It's heavy and can shoot the pellets at some impressive speeds. I would recomend getting a hard case for the pistol because if the red dot scope gets hit, you need to adjust the sights."

Beeman 2006 Air Pistol,February 11, 2009
By coydoggerfrom Adirondack Mts. NY
"Very satisfied for the money. A poor mans Beeman P-1. A little awkward to load, but no big deal. Surprising one stroke power with a real nice trigger pull. Red dot sight is a bulky toy, but the regular sights are great."

Total Junk,February 9, 2009
By PeterHfrom Hudson Valley, NY
"Very hard to load and pump. Once you get the hang of that, it will develop an air leak. When it works, it shoots straight and pretty hard. After 25-30 shots, you will send this junk back."

Excellent for the money,February 7, 2009
By KSshooter87from Manhattan, KS
"This pistol is an excellent buy for the price. I have had no problems with seals leaking. I do wish it had a little more power though. A 7.56 gr. pellet will only fully penetrate 30 sheets of paper but it damages more beyond that. I found the sight difficult to use and use the standard sights of the pistol and can still shoot accurately. I would recommend this for target shooters and hunting very small game (rabbit size) only."

"Hours of indoor winter plinking fun! This is a great little air gun at a reasonable price. It's a little tricky to load if you have big hands, but the accuracy makes up for the trouble."

Beeman P17/Marksman 2004 !DO NOT BUY!,October 23, 2008
By airgunguyfrom louisiana
"Beeman P17/Marksman 2004 DO NOT BUY!!! Junk! Garbage! Trash! Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those grumpy old men who thinks that everything is junk. There are still some real airgun values out there such as the Crosman 1377 and 2240. However, the Marksman 2004 also known as the Beeman P17 or the Beeman 2006 is a junk gun that works for about 10 minutes then starts leaking air from various places. How do I know? I tried several of them from several different stores and the end result is always the same>>>JUNK! I really wanted to own one of these that worked properly. The amount of time effort and money I have spent trying to get one that actually worked for more than 10 minutes has been incredibly exhausting. At this point, I have given up!!"

Beeman 2006 Pistol with Red-Dot Sight,October 22, 2008
By OneEyedNickfrom Los Angeles CA
"I bought this to kill rats at 5 to 7 yds.
Nice hand feel, good weight and balance. Just enough trigger to avoid accidental discharges.
Once zeroed, it shoots nice, tight groups, with no recoil.
The price was right, shipping was excellent. I'm glad I bought it from Cabela's. I'll buy from them again!"

Good training,September 22, 2008
By hendershot
"This is a great product. Reliable, accurate, adjustable sights (Iron Sights), feels great in the hand and a pretty nice trigger. It gets only 3 stars because it is only a single shot and the power is sacrificed for accuracy/consistancy. If single shot and big power were not important, it would get a 4.5. Great training tool for pistol shooting. I spend hours in the back yard shooting groups on paper. Well worth the money!"
