"It works well. The venison we tried with it was so tender and delicious. I dipped the meat in seasoned flour and then ran it through the tenderizer. That worked beautifully."

"The only thing that doesn't work as well as it should, is the twisted o-ring that turns the 2 rollers - it doesn't seem tight enough. Because of this, the rollers slip while trying to get the meat started between the rollers."

"The price of this item balanced out very well with its performance. The tenderizer is very easy to use and does the as good a job as the powered units that meat departments in supermarkets would do. In fact, I had some cutlets run through the tenderizer at a major supermarket and when I got home, found that they hadn't done the job very well. I got out my Mister Tenderizer and finished the job quite easily. The machine cleans up very easily. A real bargain for the money."

"not exactly what i imagined the meat does not go through with ease and the tenderizer does get it all that good but what can you expect it plastic and rubber O rings for tension and pulling the meat threw"

"i received our mister tenderizer last christmas and use it several times a week. since my dad admired my tenderizer and the dishes i prepared with the meat i tenderized, i got him one for his birthday. i'd recommend this to anyone. works great and the price is reasonable too. makes tenderizing my venison easy and makes the meals i prepare with the meat wonderful."

"Unit looked promising in the discription unfortunately it did not fulfill its promises. The unit could not be clamped down properly which would raise the unclamped side up subsequently the other hand had to hold the unit down while trying to turn the handle. Processed meat was not pierced satisfactory and over-all did a very poor job. Unit was returned as unsatisfactory."

"This unit is a little flimsy but I guess is acceptable for the price. It did not thoroughly tenderize the 1/2" deer steaks I ran through it but they were better than when I started."

Get replacement o-rings before you put them on!,

"I really like the machine but 2 problems have come up rather quickly. I put the o rings on my machine and now after washing it 2 times in my dishwasher I have noticed that the o rings appear to be stretching out quite a bit. Go to the hardware store and buy a few of them and get the size wrote down for future reference. I wish I had done so! They don't like dishwashers and they are too difficult to keep removing after every use, and it will be used often. My husband has dentures and he adores the tenderizer! The o-rings is all that prevented the 5 star rating."

"Looks good but the mechanism (friction belt) has too much slippage so not really very effective. In the end it is much easier and faster to just pound the meat and the cleanup is easier."

"Very difficult to stabilize using the clamps provided. It takes two people to use unit one to hold it and help feed meat the other to do the same. However once you get the meat started it does a good job of tenderizing. I got rid of the clamps and bought four two inch suction cups with threaded mounts and after tapping tenderizer installed them on unit, now its a one person job thats very easy to use! Why the manufacturer doesn't do this is beyond me, even if it costs a little more at least it works. I would recommend unit after installing my improvements.

"Mister Tenderizer does a great job on beef and pork, making the slices even in thickness and it feeds into the machine so easy. I found it tore up the chicken tenders, but haven't tried regular chicken breasts. Clean up was a breeze."
