TERRIBLE LIGHTS, PERIOD.,September 12, 2009

"I installed these to replace docking lights that were 7 years old and finally gave out. The lights are NOT WATERPROOF and they filled with water and failed before I even got to use them. I installed them and they lit up nicely, 30 days later I went to use them for the first time on the water at night and neither one lit, upon checking they were both full of water. I have since went back to an expensive light to replace these, even though they are cheap, do not waste your time and money."

"These lights are a piece of junk. They only have a thin sideways beam and do not provide sufficient light for any use that I can imagine. Do not buy these lights unless you want to be very disappointed - they do not flood the area with any light."

"I attached two of these to a length of gray pvc conduit the width of my 15' long boat so I could position them facing forward as bow "headlights"; facing out the stern for fishing (the conduit fits snugly under the cleats); or along the front or rear edge of my bimini top, fastened with a couple of spring clamps to light up the whole interior! These lights sure are powerful! Just be careful to watch the battery usage!"

"I just completed installing these lights on my pontoon boat. The installation was quite easy and the project was completed in just a couple of hours working alone. I did upgrade to a push/pull marine grade switch due to limited space on the operators console. A night time test of the lights proved how well they should work while making night time dockings. However, I have yet to launch the boat for an actual on the water test. I'm sure they are going to improve the safety of those night time cruises and dockings. The price was also right and I bought an extra set for my son to put on his boat. Thanks, Cabelas"

"The only things I noticed was once I got everything connected that the inline fuse seems to get very warm with the lights turned on. Not sure what that means. I put the lights on my pontoon. I needed more wire to get the job done."
