Countless hours of development and testing have led us to create a line of tactical scopes specially engineered for rifles in several calibers. With these scopes, there is no need to guess what the proper holdover on a target is. You simply range your target and dial in the scope for that distance. We designed these scopes using an average of the most popular loads for each caliber. Each scope comes with interchangeable turrets for different calibers that can be changed with an allen wrench. These durable scopes meet our stringent quality-control standards and have superior fully coated optics, better light transmission and greater resolution. No other scope will, however, match the versatility these scopes feature. Mounting tube is 1". Finger-adjustable windage and elevation with trajectory compensation turret. Each scope is available in four power models with some models featuring a side focus parallax adjustment for ultrafast target acquisition. Each scope is waterproof, fogproof and shockproof. Each scope includes turrets, turret carrying bag and an allen wrench. The Centerfire features seven turrets in popular varmint/predator calibers for sighting systems incrementally calibrated to adjust for bullet drop out to 400 yards and beyond.
    Includes: .223 50-grain, .223 55-grain, .223 60-grain, .204 32-grain, .204 40-grain, .22-250 50-grain, .22-250 55-grain.

    pine ridge \ .223, November 3, 2009
By limpwood from Lane County, Oregon

"I bought this scope to mount on my 700 sps .223.
I bore sighted it and shot three rounds touching eachother at 97 yards.
It adjusted just fine and most of my groups can be covered with a dime at 1oo yards.
I havent played with the paralax or shot further than 100 yards and that is why I gave 4 stars.

good economical scope, October 14, 2009
By romeoalpha from las vegas nv.

"i needed a good solid scope for my ar10. the tactical turret fit the bill. the eye relief on all powers is acceptable and sighting in was easy. field of view and clarity are also very good for the price. ive had other scopes that looked nasty on my ar but this one works well and looks good too. get a solid mount with integrated rings though. standard rings on a flat top ar look terrible."

    By TeesItUp from Rescue, Calif.

"The scope was great but at 100 yards your eye sight needs to me 20/20 I had problems seeing the bullet holes on the targets. I need a more powerful scope/zoom because my eyes are something less that perfect."

good optics - no parts, July 20, 2009
    By DC01 from california

"the bad part of this scope is the adjustment turrets on the scope itself . they far off . you must check to be sure they are secure . If you LOOSE any part they are NOT REPLACABLE ! Cabels's is unable to get any replacement parts from the supplier. look at the other name brand scopes"

Cabela's Centerfire Turret Tactical Scopes, June 16, 2009
    By WaaakkkMaster from Northwestern PA

"The optics are very clear. With the SF it is easy to dial in the yardage. I have placed this scope (6x18x40) on a Ruger M77 .223. Using 50 grain AMO. Just the other day I shoot a wood chuck at 245 yards. At 100 yards I could cover 3 shoots with a dime.

The Turret has crisp clicks. With sometime spent at the range you can easily dial in your ranges. With a set of range finders this makes a deadly wood chuck weapon. A great scope for the money.

    Trying again, June 4, 2009
By WillieCockette from San Diego, Ca

"Tried out the centerfire scope mounted on a Ruger Mini 14. Sighted in well at 100 yards, moved out 200 yards using the 55 grain .223 turret. That also seemed to work well. As did the return to 100 yrds zero. However when I removed the windage cap to set it to zero I found the o-ring was improperly installed, half sticking out of the seal. When I got home the Ocular Lens had shaken loose and was rattleing around in the eye piece. So I am returning it and going to try for a hopefully better assembled unit. I found the optics to be clear and bright all the way to the image edge even at full zoom. If not for the assembly problems i would rate this as a 4. Regards"

"I put this on a .223 bolt action.clarity of lenses are great, directions not great,in conjunction with a range finder this works well.you may have to play around with bullet weights to get the best performance out of your firearm."

Cabelas Centerfire Tactical Scope, March 10, 2009
    By CountyRanger from Concrete, WA

"This scope works great. It was different to site in than other scopes due to the turrets are not a 1/4 inch per click. But once it's sighted in your good to go. The scope is very clear. I mounted it on a Bushmaster Varminter. The only thing I do not like about the turrets, is that it is easy to strip the threads, then the turret is no good and Cabelas does not sell them seperately.
I will be buying the Big Game tactical scope for my .270 WSM next.
    Great scope

6-18 power Turret Tactical Scope, March 3, 2009
    By Bobcatrappin from Mackay, Idaho

"At first I was a little hesitant about buying a scope with a name on it other than the major manufactures. I decided for the money to try it out and if I didnt like it that much I could always put it on a .22 or something of the sort. When the scope arrived I was very pleased with the finish and look of the scope. The scope seemed well built, all adjustments moved smoothly. The first impression when I looked through it was "Wow" The scope is very clear and crisp, "not the $500 crisp but very good for this class of scope. The scope has a lot of bells and whistles for the price.
The only negative thing I could say about the scope is that its a little fussy in the eye relief department on the upper magnification, but most scopes in this price range are, and some more expensive scopes show the same. I have a 6.5-20 leapold that is far worse in this department and I paid $600 for it.
I would recommend this scope to anyone looking for a very good scope at a bargain price.

Great scope for the price, January 28, 2009
    By Bleair216 from Casper, Wy

"This scope has a clear picture for the price, not as good as a zeiss or leupold, but I also didn't pay over 1,000 dollars for it, it was excatly what i was looking for to put on my AR, it has only gone to the range, so i can't tell you how well it works in the field, but when i get a chance to go out and get some "dogs" i'm sure it will work better than the old iron sights i was using. i would recomend this scope to anyone that likes the go coyote hunting on the weekends and your on a budget"

    cabela's centerfire tactical 6-18x40, December 19, 2008
By lakestreetmechanic from Berrien Center, MI

"First off I chose this scope in place of the BSA Sweet .223 because I have had poor luck BSA optics and this scope was similarly priced and had a somewhat of a decent review. I put this scope on my H&R .223, I understand this gun is not a tack driver by any means but, I had about 1.5" groups out to 100 yards with a Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40, and I could not get a pattern for nothing with the Cabela's scope. I have lived by the saying that a gun can shoot better than I can for awhile but, with this scope I was all over the paper, no consistency what so ever. I cleaned the barrel meticulously and tried again, no pattern still. So that ruled out the gun being the problem. I put the Bushnell Trophy scope back on this gun and there were the patterns that I was accustomed to seeing again. Apparently I must have recieved a bad scope. Also, the M.O.A. adjustments on this scope were kind of sloppy, didn't feel crisp and not clearly audible like other scopes I have used. The interchangable turret design leaves little to be desired. The spline on the elevation turrets are so fine that I see potential for stripping the spline out of the soft aluminum turrets.
In a nutshell this scope was not what I had expected. It is poorly made and of inferior quality. It goes without saying that this scope was returned to Cabela's as defective for credit, not exchange.

"I may have gone five stars if I had more experience with it. The scope is suprisingly bright. The adjustments seem to be accurate and repeatable. As with any caliber specific scope/turrets you have to be a realist. It's just not possible to be dead on with any cartridge scope combination. Just to many variables. Bottom line, It seems to be a decent quality, easy to use scope at a very affordable price. I now have more confidence in Cabela's brand products than many of the major brand names."

The Friday before it was delivered to my door step... I was very pleased and will purchase items through Cabela's again. Thank you for your professional service."
