"This rod/reel is a great combo. The rod is very sturdy and can handle big fish. The reel has 7 ball bearings and reels and casts very smoothly. The 33 is good, but if you go up a few more bucks, you can get a dependable spincasting reel."

The rod is too stiff,

"I love the reel, but it is really heavy and rolls around to the bottom very easily. The rod is supposed to be medium flex, but is very stiff for that. I was hoping for a really flexible rod. I wish I could trade it in for a light flex."

"Just returned from a fishing trip to northern Ontario,Canada where I had a chance to use the Omega 3. It is an extremely quiet reel, the "drag' is at your fingertips and works great, and I was very satisfied whether bringing in small fish or 15-lb. northerns."

"I've only used it a couple times now, but it sure is smooth when it comes to casting and retrieving. I caught a few 2 lb large mouth bass with it and had no problems. It sure beats that old open face I got that wants to backlash on me at least once a trip! I'm going to junk it and get another of these Zebcos. I like it and recommend it."

"The rod is very good. The Omega reel is wonderful. Just exactly the reel I had been looking for for years. I have a store room full of worthless JUNK that I bought before I found the Omega. I bought TWO and gave one to my wife. I plan to buy two more when I can afford them. Wonderful product. Hope they never change them!"

"I bought the Omega on a whim since I already own a high quality spinner and a bait caster. I am so surprised at not just the quality, but how much fun it is! Every cast is smooth and accurate and the retrieve is great, too. It does not loop or tangle but the sensitivity is less than a spinner. If you want a spin caster, this is the one!"
